April 7, 2025 at 6:01 pm #201293Flipping through the pages of this RP feeling rather like a spy as I try to hunt down my errant water sprite. As if I don’t have an essay to write, ect.
Not sure where he is rn. Not sure where I left him.

Fork the GorkApril 7, 2025 at 8:09 pm #201299Rory
Rory was silent as the two moved down the hall. Leo’s words had a strange draw to them, and he felt as though they were pulling at his very being. For some reason, freedom made him think of the building… church… and the picture in the glass. Peace and freedom. Two things he had never experienced––
Until now.
He hadn’t tasted it in full, but he had caught a glimpse of them, and all at once he found he was starving for more.

April 8, 2025 at 12:35 am #201310Ahh, here we go. @loopylin @koshka @raxforge the Twins, Syph, Rax, and Ben are in the same class as I’m going to describe. (It’ll take a couple posts to see what I mean.)
Barnes
Barnes was only a few doors away from her class, when her way was aggressively blocked by another female teacher. Barnes stepped left and right, but was only faced with a sappy, apologetic smile.“Thank you so much for your help yesterday,” the teacher chirped.
“My pleasure.” Great, I’m late. Barnes lunged for an opening.
“I just – really want to thank you! Ever since I began working here, it’s been nothing but problem after problem. You understand discipline, just what this place needs. And with your kind of influence, things will turn around.”
“Thank goodness,” another teacher muttered from the doorway of his classroom, a smug smile tugging at his lips.
“I wonder who cowered from discipline before me,” Barnes heard herself saying.
“What?”
“I said, it’s not very productive to feel bitter towards teenagers.”
“But I don’t think you understand. Some of these students are absolute vagrants!” The first teacher laughed.
Something in Barnes snapped. She coolly straightened the lapels of her jacket. “I understand completely. After all, I was quite the vagrant myself.”
The other adults were unsure of what to say. The man looked away, but the woman’s smile widened, like some morbid denial. “Oh, not you, Lucille.”
“You must have a limited social pool, Stacy. I guess there were only bullies in your middle school – which in that case, you don’t have to look far to reconnect. Reconnection with oneself is a valuable mental tool. And by the way, don’t call me Lucille.”
Barnes pushed past both of them, ducking under some low-hanging dance banners.

April 8, 2025 at 12:37 am #201311Marcel
“You’re welcome, Celarent.” Marcel winked, although his mouth stayed in a determined line. He pulled his hand back and continued onward.
They made it to class without any more fighting. The room was already full, and a little chaotic, so Marcel had to take a seat by nobody he knew.

April 8, 2025 at 12:46 am #201312Barnes
When Barnes entered her classroom, none of the students noticed.
The desk layout was in shambles. Some kids had taken marker to board, and drawn creatures only dreamed of by psychotic three -year-olds. Levitated elements and paper airplanes drifted across the room.
“I see you’ve all been busy,” Barnes said. This is going to be a long day.
One by one, the students saw her, and dulled down.
She sat down at her desk, sweeping the back of her jacket over the stool, and began to click the keys of her typewriter. Underneath the sound were other muffled sounds of whispering, foot taps, and gum popping.
The ceiling lights buzzed; her black cherry suit held her symmetrical. “Day 1, Airing 1153. Time duration: 1 1/2 hours. Class: Foreign Relations…”
A stray airplane fell onto Barnes’ foot. The room fell as silent as a grave. She stared down at it, through the expressionless holes of her mask.
The staff was right. The classes had no structure at all, and something needed to change. But each individual class wasn’t hers to control.
Barnes picked the plane up, and tested the buoyancy by bouncing it in her hand. “Whoever made this folded the left wing too sharply.”
A girl raised her hand. “I’m sorry, ma’am.”
“You should be. You would need a baseball player to slide far enough to catch it.” Barnes dropped the plane, and looked back up at the rest of the class. “It’s gotten to the point where… well. Seems like you kids have been treated like foreigners for long enough.”
She pulled out a handle on the top of her file cabinet, like a travel case. She opened the class door. “Single file, please. We’re going outside.”

April 8, 2025 at 9:30 am #201315Mateo
Mateo saw that his friend had sat down, and he sat in a place where many people were unfamiliar to him. So, Mateo did what he seemed to be the normal thing to do and that is to stand behind him, like a dog loyal to his master.

#AnduthForever (❤️)April 8, 2025 at 9:39 am #201316YAY!! Rax and Ben get to do something finally! Barnes is interesting though…
@whalekeeper @loopylin @koshkaRax and Ben
The teacher gave both Rax and Ben a startle, and Rax at first was a bit rebellious. Being under a tyrant all his life he wanted to not be under anyone right now. Ben knew exactly what Rax was thinking, “If you don’t lower yourself under her, you won’t learn anything.” Rax thought for about this for a moment, then nodded in understanding. They both joined in the line, Ben behind Rax, though Ben was a little to the side of Rax, as was his custom whenever following Rax.
