July 18, 2016 at 10:33 pm #14866Okay, ummm. *sigh* I think I will do it the easy way and say “Go look up on YouTube ‘Studio C Teddy’s Story Joint’. I give in – I failed. I love the way you can see the separate steps of my failure and frustration. Anyway…

July 19, 2016 at 8:59 am #14872@clairec Haha! Somebody already beat you to it. Somewhere earlier in this thread. Great clip.
It’s been a while since I tried to post a video, but I think I remember you have to click the “img” button and then insert the link. I might be mistaken about that though.

July 19, 2016 at 12:16 pm #14874I just copy-and-pasted the YouTube link; I didn’t know it would actually put the video there, I was just aiming for the link. Do you know how to copy and paste?
July 19, 2016 at 6:46 pm #14883@Emma-Flournoy, yes I do. I did try that but it didn’t work…so never mind.
@daeus, I’m glad someone shared it! I’ll have to try your method next time.Official Member of the Certified Club of Aussie Kapeefers
July 23, 2016 at 9:08 pm #14992So, did anyone here watch Ted Cruz’s convention speech a few days ago? If so, what did you think?
Personally, every time I’ve been sure he had to fold under the pressure, he’s come out stronger than I remembered and twice as impressive. This time was no exception. It’s really encouraging to see someone sticking up for the truth, even if it doesn’t get him anywhere. I was really proud of him.July 24, 2016 at 9:36 am #14994@Kate-flournoy I didn’t see it, though I did hear about it. I wasn’t sure at first, because they did sign papers saying they’d support each other. But Trump rescinded on his promise awhile back, and Cruz has said he’ll support him as the party candidate, he’s just not endorsing him. Which I think is a sign of someone with strong moral beliefs, no matter the political consequences. Go Cruz!

July 24, 2016 at 10:35 am #14997@Hope it was an absolutely beautiful speech. The gist of it was, politics is not about candidates or parties or even government. It’s about an ideal— about liberty. And whenever it becomes about anything else, it becomes invalid. People are in charge of the government, and we have a voting process to let the voice of the people be heard, so always vote your conscience. You don’t have to vote for anyone you don’t think would support liberty or who doesn’t reflect your values. Government is about liberty.
I shortened it quite a bit, but that was the general message. 😉And I know what you mean— lots of people were very upset that he ‘broke his promise’ to support the nominee, and his response to them was perfect. Basically, he pointed out that the field has changed. When he pledged to support the Republican nominee, (roughly paraphrasing his own words here) he did so fully intending to go through with that pledge. But that was before the nominee attacked Heidi Cruz and Rafael Cruz— Ted’s wife and father. I don’t know if you remember that— a while back in the primaries, Trump said some really nasty things about Heidi’s looks, and accused Rafael Cruz (don’t laugh— he really said this) of collaborating with Lee Harvey Oswald to assassinate JFK. Anyway, Cruz said he refused to endorse anyone who had slandered his father and attacked his wife, and he hopes anyone mad at him for ‘breaking his pledge’ will consider what they would have done in his place. His point was, there are more important things in life than politics, and there were lines he would not cross to advance a political party/candidate/agenda.
To which I say: Good for you!!! 😀I’m kinda passionate about this, in case you couldn’t tell. 😉 I come by it honestly though— my dad’s a political junkie. It runs in the family. 😀

August 1, 2016 at 11:38 am #15209@Hope won’t tell you this guys, but it’s really good. I officially recommend it. Yeah, I may be a little biased because she’s my friend, but bias doesn’t make people cry, and I cried over this book.
So there.August 1, 2016 at 11:49 am #15210@hope I got it, I’ve just got to finish another book first before I get to it. I’ll let you know if I cry over it.
