😉 <333
Agh, yes, I am a big GE fan! I do love the characters you mentioned, but my all-time favorite character is Helmer. HE IS THE BEST!!!! (I’m a big fan of crusty-and-tough-on-the-outside-but-soft-and-sweet-on-the-inside type characters). My favorite lines are pretty much anything Helmer says, but especially the conversation between Helmer and Picket in the chapter A Good Bad Day in the first book. 🙂 Hbu? Have you read all of the books?
Yay, so glad you enjoyed them!!! (Honestly, I enjoy that line quite a bit myself 😛 😉)
Agh, I love your lines! Tyroll is hilarious. XD
October 23, 2021 at 7:09 pm #106554How fun! I love co-writing. 😀
No, you’re fine! It takes me a while to get back to people, so I get it. 🙂
October 23, 2021 at 7:43 pm #106556Helmer is awesome! His nearing brutal outside hides such a tender heart. Yes, that conversation is priceless.
I have not read all the books exactly, because I only skim-read the last, but I have read all the rest. My personal favorite is either The Green Ember or Ember Falls. Which is funny, since when we first heard that a certain rabbit may have perished in Ember Falls, my twin and I went on strike and didn’t read it for possibly a year. Then after a while, we read bits and pieces till sometime after Ember Rising came out, and I read the whole thing. And had to reread it strait off.
I love all the lines with that humorous wit in them, but off the top of my head, most likely my favorite is Heather’s speech at the 7th district.

October 25, 2021 at 8:03 pm #106578@Lydia-s thanks!!! He’s my ‘baby’ so to speak; my first dynamic charrie, so proud that i made him XD
I'm 'a homeschooler' because cookie-making writing artistic animal-whisperer isn't a job title
November 1, 2021 at 2:33 am #106855Wonderful idea, Lydia! Everyone’s lines are so entertaining and fun to read, (I love this Cathrine btw. Her references to her Uncle’s rifle are hilarious:)
“Of course I’m fine. I’ll always be fine… even when I’m not.”
“I’m not going to let you die on me this darn easy.”
“You want me to welcome you here? What are you trying to make me? A liar?”
These are from my protagonist, Mejia. They sum up a lot of who she is and her perspective.
This is a great topic:)November 11, 2021 at 6:41 pm #107166Agh, no kidding! He’s the best!!! XD
Gotcha. I feel you… I tend to skim through books now rather than read them… Unless, of course, it’s for school. 😉 lol I’ve read all of the GE books, except The Archer’s Cup. I only skimmed through that one. 🙂
Ooo, I haven’t read that in a long time. I’ll have to take a look at that book again soon. 😀
November 11, 2021 at 6:47 pm #107167Ah, yes! Characters totally become our children. XD I know I call a twenty-eight-year-old woman a “girl,” so I get it. 🙂
November 11, 2021 at 7:09 pm #107169Aww, thank you! I’m so glad you like her. 😀 She’s a ton of fun to write for.
Love the lines!!! Mejia sounds like someone I’d like. 😉
November 12, 2021 at 5:08 pm #107187Those are great, I especially like the first and last one. I second Lydia about Mejia.
Hmm. Did you like what you read of Archer’s Cup? I will admit it wasn’t my favorite, but it’s hard to not have a book of less quality in a series. And his books are SO good. They’ve done what only two other books have, and to a greater degree: they prompted me to write fan fics. (I know, astonishing.) So, since this page is for characteristic lines, here goes!
The first one is The Misfortunate Journal of a Fleeing Rabbit (Wilfred’s diary). This one has some great quotes… but my Chromebook is dead and with is went all access, so I’ll add them when it’s up again, if you want.
The other is the tale of Lillian, daughter of Prince Roland [Jupiter’s younger brother(and no, he’s not in GE)], and undocumented slave of Akolan.
Lillian:
“I longed to talk with her, to ask her about my only remaining family, but the longer I stood there, the more I remembered. I was a slave, or worse, I wasn’t. The very beating of my heart betrayed me. I shouldn’t exist.”
Mina(Lillian’s aunt who raised her. Calls her Lilith.):
“Remember, Lilith, our every breath is an act of defiance.”
“Weeds, sir. Yes, sir. I was just going to get rid of them. Yes, sir. Eat WEEDS? Why sir….” Completely out of context. XD

November 13, 2021 at 3:57 pm #107204@elishavet-pidyon Are those from your fanfic?
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
November 13, 2021 at 7:02 pm #107208Yes, they’re from my GE fan fic. The one about a cousin of the Jovesons.

November 14, 2021 at 10:04 pm #107238Thank you! 😀
November 14, 2021 at 10:04 pm #107239Thank you so much:)
December 6, 2021 at 7:45 pm #107693Well, I only kind of read The Archer’s Cup… 😛 I started in the middle and skimmed through the rest. I thought it was good; not my favorite book in the series, but definitely better than some other books I’ve read. 😉
Oh, that is so cool! The GE actually series inspired me to start a fanfic, too! I haven’t worked on it in months, and it isn’t my best writing ever, but it was fun to write. 🙂 It’s about Helmer’s life after the death of King Jupiter, and how he came to Cloud Mountain.
I LOVE the quotes, especially the one about weeds. XD And I’d love to read your fav quotes from Wilfred’s journal, if you’d like to post them. 😀
December 7, 2021 at 5:07 pm #107727Sure, I’d be thrilled to share them now that my Chromebook is up again!
Yeah, my fanfics aren’t exactly my best writing either, but they are such fun. For my part I have especially enjoyed illustrating different character’s personalities through Wilfred’s journal. Smalls is a rather entertaining youngling, and Wilfred is such a capable yet conflicted person -er- rabbit, so guiltily loyal.
What is/are your fanfic(s) about? Do you have any lines you’d like to share?
