From Ellis’s perspective, that’s what it was, basically. He could tell that she was scared of him at first, but he has no idea why. If he knew what she had been thinking, he might be a bit more sympathetic, or he might just be annoyed that she assumed bad things about him, lol.
Yeah, I assumed so. Though you’d think he would be less annoyed when he saw her crying and literally freaking out. Anyway, sorry if it seems like I’m “mad” at him or attacking your character. I’m not, just trying to understand him more XD

Yeah, Nahim and Ellis do frighten her. Poor girl.
Though, I’m very pleased that Nahim got along so well with Ellis, that rolled along nicely. 🙂

Any men with weapons scare her, unless she trusts them completely (obviously). But she’ll probably realize soon that no one’s going to hurt her.

Nahim breathed deeply. In the corner there was the girl who had tried to kill the Queen. ‘She would side with us, right?’ He walked up to her, and smiled under his helmet (like she would be able to see that 🙄) and said to her in a kind voice,
“Hello, My name is Lord Nahim.”

Ellis isn’t very emotionally astute, lol. Even though he’s gone through a lot of hard things, he hasn’t really had to deal with any sort of trauma, so seeing hers is more confusing to him than anything else. And he got a bit offended at how she was reacting to him when he was trying to help.
Ellis does realize that she is against the queen too, but she doesn’t seem open to working with other people.
I’m not offended, lol. I was also a little “mad” at Ottoline in that scene, and at Zahlin later. We’re all a bit biased towards our own characters!

It would be hilarious if there just wasn’t one and he had to slink back in and hope that nobody noticed, lol!
They might have one though, because I took it that they’ve been trying to fight the dragons, but failing miserably, in which case they’d have some weapons, but maybe not a dedicated armory. I’d imagine they have some weapons somewhere, because otherwise they only have the weapons the characters brought.

Ellis
Nahim left Ellis and walked out into the room, apparently trying to decide to talk to. Then he started walking towards Ottoline. Bad idea, thought Ellis, bad idea, bad idea! Ottoline was a cask of dragonpowder waiting to explode. Ellis forced himself to sit still and hope nothing dramatic would happen.
Ellis tore his gaze away from Nahim and Ottoline and turned toward the man on his left.
”Er, hey,” he said, “Kaine, was it? I’m Ellis.”

Buckle up!
The original nine characters ended up trapped in a talking house that forced them to engage in a party. Eventually, the house transitioned to an alternate fantasy dimension. The queen of this realm shows up to tell them that she brought them here to fight the dragons that are destroying everything and that they can’t go home unless they help.
Two other characters showed up after that, Ellis and Zahlin. There’s been a lot of drama, including @savannah_grace ‘s character, Ottoline, attempting to shoot the queen, and Ellis, Nahim, and Zahlin having a fight in a hallway.
Right now they’re eating in the dining hall.
