Got it, lol!
Lane
He listened silently as the two people exchanged a few words.
I should probably find out where I am…
Lane shivered before he stepped inside the building. He slowly walked to a small statue in the corner of the room. He reached towards it and felt its smooth surface, but quickly regretted doing so when it toppled over and loudly crashed into thousands of tiny pieces. Of course this would happen. You sure are one klutz, Lane. Get your life together.
He froze when a voice called “Who are you?”
“Uh… I– I’m…” He stammered, “My name is Lane. Look, I did not mean to break your statue. Please don’t shoot me with that bow… or kill me… or anything. It was an accident!”
He forced a smile and stood there trembling.
“I was… uh… trying to figure out where I am… and… uhh… came here to ask… soo…” He ran his hands through his curtain-like bangs, “could you tell me where I am…. if you know… at all….?”

Kari’s coming to join!
Breathing heavily from the exertion, Kari paused on her way up the hill to catch her breath. As she looked around at her surroundings, she noticed a house she had not seen before. She had intended to climb the hill and spend the evening in the peace and quiet, journaling and praying as the sun set, but now she hesitated. If this was someone’s property, she should find somewhere else to go.
Switching her notebook and pen from one hand to the other, Kari took another look at the house. It was large, but looked rather like a cabin. Kari was about to turn and go back the way she’d come, when she noticed that the door stood wide open. She frowned. Why would anyone leave the door wide open? Maybe something was wrong.
Hesitantly, wishing she had a means of self defense, Kari took a few steps closer. If someone dangerous was in there, she was walking into a death trap, but if someone needed help, then perhaps God had led her here to lend a hand.
As Kari drew closer, a crash sounded from inside the door, and she stopped short, her heart pounding. She could hear muffled voices, but they didn’t sound angry… just distressed.
God, please protect me. Kari swallowed her fear and took another step towards the door.
“Hello?” she called out hesitantly. “Is everything okay?”
As she stepped through the door, three pairs of eyes turned to look at her.

Ottoline
“Do not worry,” Amir turned his warm eyes to the trembling boy. “She only shoots deer. Lucky for you.” Lane nodded.
“It’s not my statue,” Ottoline scoffed, rolling her eyes. “I couldn’t care less if you broke it or not.” Lane sighed with relief, brushing the hair out of his eyes.
“Just do not scare her, or she might forget that you’re not a deer,” Amir smiled. Lane nodded and color came back to his cheeks.
“Can you cut it with the jokes?” Ottoline said sweetly, pasting a fake smile on her face, whirling around to face Amir.
“And she does not like jokes either,” Amir flinched.
“Can you tell me where I am…?” Lane said slowly.
“I was about to ask you the same question,” Ottoline told him. “But if you don’t know,” she pointed at Amir, who shook his head, “and I don’t know, and I know for certain you don’t,” she put her bow back on her back and her arrow back in her quiver, “than I suppose it doesn’t matter and I should just go back to my camp. You two are boring, anyways.” She crossed her arms, and then she saw them. The scars…..why didn’t I wear long sleeves? I have to get out of here….she moved towards the door. And in that same moment, she felt Lane’s eyes graze her skin. Panic crawled within her. Please don’t ask, please don’t ask about the scars…
And then the door burst open, revealing a young girl.
“Hello?” she asked hesitantly, eyes searching. “Is everything okay?

😆
Lane
Lane looked at Ottoline, accessing what kind of person she was. His eyes fell on her scars, and it reminded him of one of his friends back where he lived. His face vividly displayed a desire to ask about the scars, but he changed his mind.
He dropped his shoulders. Hearing another voice, Lane turned around and saw a girl standing in the doorway.
“Oh… um… hi… um… well, yes…” Lane stuttered, “Everything is ok… I think anyway..”
He put his right hand on his left arm, and glanced at Ottoline. Then he inhaled and advanced towards the girl in the doorway.
“My name is Lane… Lane Shultz. I’m not sure who owns this place, but if it happens to be yours… well, I accidentally broke this statue….”
He gestured towards the thousands of shattered glass pieces and pursed his lips.

Ottoline
She sighed with relief as Lane looked away from her scars and turned his attention to the girl in the doorway. But she knew it was only a matter of time before they would get brought up.
“Oh, no, it’s not my statue, or my house even…” the bewildered girl replied. “My name is Kari. What’s yours?”
“I’m Lane,” Lane said, his confidence appearing to have returned.
“Amir,” said Amir as he nodded his respect. “Pleased to meet you, Kari.”
All eyes fell on Ottoline. “I’m Ottoline,” she forced the words out. She didn’t need anyone to know more about her. But these people obviously weren’t from around here, and they obviously weren’t Pythonos…or could they have somehow used a spell to change their appearances? Her heart quickened its pace. No way was she going back there…
“If this house doesn’t belong to you,” said Kari, “whose is it?”
“That’s what I’ve been trying to figure out,” Lane sighed. “I broke this,” he tilted his face downward in shame. “And I need to replace it or pay for it or something…but I don’t know who it belongs to.”
Ottoline slowly slipped away as the three jabbered on about whose house it was and such. She knew she needed to get back to Neveah and Marcurious, but something about this place captivated her.
She traced her hands along the delicate arches. They reminded her of the pictures of the Council of the Order that she had seen.
The nagging question haunted her mind. Who did this house belong to? And why had they all found it by chance? Were they meant to find it? If so, why? Ottoline could only hope that this was not a trap set by Pythonos to recapture her. If it was, then she was putting her life as well as the others’ in danger.

Kari
Kari glanced down at the notebook in her hand and the increasing shadows outside. The sun was setting, and this was nothing like what she had planned for her evening. If she didn’t leave soon, it would be dark, and she didn’t want to be alone in this house with three strangers after dark. She didn’t know them… and besides, Ottoline had a bow, and she seemed very defensive.
Speaking of Ottoline, where was she? As she’d listened to Lane and Amir discussing the mysterious house, Kari hadn’t even noticed that Ottoline was no longer standing with them.
“Where is Ottoline?” Kari interjected herself into Lane and Amir’s conversation.
“What?” Lane looked at her, then around at the room. “Oh yeah… I don’t know. Did she just disappear?”
Kari didn’t like that idea. This whole situation was getting stranger and stranger. Maybe she had tripped on her way up the hill and hit her head, and all of this was in her imagination.

Aright, Hugo is going to join! Sorry if anyone characters are different from what they really would be like, its sorta hard to write them. 🙂
Hugo
Hugo trudged up a hill as the sun beat down on his back, “Where the heck am I going?” He thought, “wander away from the trail for even one second and I find myself… in the middle of nowhere. Hopefully I won’t starve… or run into a bear…”
He continued to name off grim scenes he could come across in the woods, which seemed to comfort him, but when the sun began to sink deeper in the sky, he broke into a run. Terrified that his imagination would come true.
“Got to find shelter,” he gasped, clutching a stitch in his side, “got to go–” He stopped in his tracks and saw a person. They were walking into a giant wooden house. Hugo paused for a moment, wondering whether or not to follow them, but then he realized that they might have a phone and began to walk towards the house as the they walked in.
Approaching the door, he looked down at his grimy clothes, his shirt and pants were torn and stained. His hair, he was sure, was in an uncontrollable state. Nevermind that now. He lifted a hand to knock on the door and gnarly fell back when it was wrenched open, by a girl.
She was much shorter than him and had really pretty red blonde hair. Hugo was left speechless for a moment, before coming to his scenes and muttering a cool (he thought it was cool) “Hey there.”
She remained motionless and looked warliy at him, both eyebrows raised.
“Oh, um. Hi! I’m Hugo. Hugo Jim Walton.” He stammered, realizing his “cool” position isn’t working on her.
“Are you here for the party?” She asked.
“Um. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Yes.”
She stifled a laugh and choked doing so, “I’m Ottoline. Welcome to the party Mr. Walton.”
She held the door open wider and he stepped inside, there were already a handful of people inside. Boys and girls of all ages.
“Make yourself at home.” She said hurriedly before rushing off.
He was alone now. Alone in a giant house with strangers.
A boy a couple years younger walked over to Hugo, “Hello,” he said, “how did you get here? I don’t quite know myself. No one seems to know.”
Hugo smiled, he knew he would like Lane.
=-=-=-=-==
Should Lane and Hugo be good friends?
Hugo also seems to like Ottoline a bunch, is that ok with you?
Im just asking to make sure its ok with everyone 😀
