Did you say before that she always has right eyes, no matter what shape she is using?

@jonas @rae Since they have two very powerful wizards on their side, I think the evil team would win if the Snake didn’t exist and the dino-whatsit didn’t come in to crash their party. And if Zashed Potatoes had sticked to the plan.
And I mean very powerful wizards. You’ll see.
The General
The three soldiers, who all had eyes that glowed red like the setting sun, all turned their heads in unison towards Zash. The General fixed his crimson orbs of eyes on the knife-wielder as well. “That does not exactly clear matters up. What is the name of the person?”
December 18, 2023 at 6:33 pm #170312How powerful? What kind of stuff can they do?
Signature is limited to 100 characters? That seems awfully unjust. We refuse to be bound by these ru

They also have some really good warriors (Nahim, Zahlin, Ellis), Kate uses magic, although she has a limited amount at the moment. Snake is really powerful, although like I said, he’s going to have to fight a dragon.

Ok brief on powers of The General and John: both control pixies (the ones in the jars, currently), they use magic jewels (black, the one on the staff/javelin, destroys; other colors have different effects), elemental control, extra physical things (wings, giant fists, etc.) , hurling magic arrows/water/fire/earth/wind etc. I think I’ll keep it at that for now. This will help me figure out how their powers work, so it’s kind of a WIP.

December 18, 2023 at 9:11 pm #170338I don’t think getting Fennin’s feet wet would deflect lightning into the ground, that is, I believe, scientifically impossible. Also, are you aware that just lightning hitting next to Fennin would cause serious burns? Is this some kind of magical lightning that isn’t real lightning? Also, Fennin is wearing boots, how is he supposed to get his bare feet wet?

December 18, 2023 at 10:05 pm #170343Let the attack begin!
Ellis
Ellis caught a glint out of the corner of his eye. He whipped around and saw a dark shape sailing through the air. He lunged forward, knocking Kate aside. The shape crashed into him. It was the guy with knives. One of the knives deflected off of Ellis’ armor as they rolled. Ellis threw his opponent off and drew his sword as he landed on his feet.
Conviction burned green, illuminating the surroundings.
“Out of the way!” snarled the man, his single eye glinting.
“Not a chance!” said Ellis. “Your mine this time!”
“Then you choose death!” The man lunged forward, five knives and a sword zipping through the air independently.
Ellis swept his sword through the air, knocking away two of the knives and the sword. One knife glanced off his armored forearm, and the other streaked past his head.
His opponent rammed into him, grabbing him by the throat. Ellis twisted in midair, and landed on top of his opponent.
Incoming knives! warned Conviction.
Ellis rolled aside as the knives whistled by. He leapt to his feet and faced his opponent.
“I didn’t even get your name!” Ellis complained.
“You can call me Zash in your remaining moments!”
Zash’s sword swung towards him. Ellis raised his sword and blocked.
Suddenly, the knives came shooting back. One of them hit him in the lower leg, sweeping his feet out from under him.
He landed face down and rolled aside immediately. The sound of knives hitting the ground sounded next to him.
Ellis scrambled to his feet, only for Zash to crash into him with tremendous force.
Ellis was thrown backwards into a tree, Conviction flying from his hand. His head hit the bark, and his vision went black for a moment.
Ellis blinked and saw Zash striding forward, carrying Conviction as well as his own sword.
“Just don’t kill me with that sword,” muttered Ellis, feigning defeat. “It’s a dishonorable death.”
Zash’s face was unreadable in the dark, but he raised Conviction.
Fool!
Zash stabbed Conviction towards Ellis’ head. The sword veered aside and embedded itself in the tree.
“You’re a special kind of imbecile!” Conviction said.
Ellis grabbed the hilt of the sword. It surged green again and immediately some of his pain vanished. Ellis stood and planted a kick to Zash’s gut, throwing him backwards. He pulled the sword out of the tree.
“A Metal Bonder?” snarked Zash.
“I don’t know what that means,” said Ellis.
Zash cocked his head. His knives started slowly spinning around him.
Ellis didn’t wait. He charged foward.

đź“š Appreciator of BooksDecember 18, 2023 at 11:49 pm #170367BTW, I’m playing with Nahim’s voice, so don’t be surprised if suddenly it fades out or turns metallic, machinery sounding.
Nahim
Nahim was aware, alert. He heard something approaching, or so he thought. He wasn’t sure if he was in one of his waking dreams, pacing guard for Johann. He shook himself. Next thing he knew, Ellis had Conviction glowing. He saw a dark form, and the glint of flying blades. Oh, No. Nahim drew his sword, the green lighting up the night as he ran to help Ellis, but he was tackled from behind, and a cold blade pierced his Mithweve under his rib cage in the back and pressed against his skin.
“Remember me?” The cold, screeching voice, like scraping metal and ice, sounded in his ear. He was glad he had his helmet on. Out of the corner of his eye, Nahim saw Nora, tackled by the other elf, and Fennin trying to rescue her. Fennin was thrown with little effort to the side, landing in a nearby Creek at the campsite edge. Nahim struggled against the elf’s arms, crying out in Realn to Nora. But the elves were too strong, for the Black magic coarsed through their veins, and their eyes glowed.
Nahim rotated his wrist and arm as much as he could, stabbing at the elf’s leg. He pierced her foot. She howled in pain, and Nahim wiggled free, the anger and adrenaline of a Nayhelm rising. The hero’s blood from ages past pumped quickly through his veins, and Angere did not meet a normal Realn, he met a Nayhelm, angered. With glowing sword, Nahim stood between Nora and her would-be killer, deflecting blows. He moved naturally, as if he were just walking.
Nora grabbed her spear, activated her shield, and stood her ground. The Firehead-Helm and the Nayhelm fighting beside each other. But it lasted only a few seconds, for Rigere came, her fingertips glowing ice, her eyes nothing but flaming blue. Diamond-shaped spots on her face and arms and her hair was like flowing metal, with a blue light.
Nora turned her spear towards the elf, but Rigere paid no heed, she came down upon Nahim. Last minute the Nayhelm noticed her presence, and was caught between two fronts. He switched his sword to the side with Rigere, and pulled his gun on Angere. He squeezed the trigger, and black blood gushed from the elf’s chest. Angere staggered back in disbelief, before falling against a tree, his eyes still flaming and half-open, his lips muttering something.
“Nora! Go help Fennin! The Prince is under attack!” Nora was about to object, but with a loud half-scream, Nahim told her,
“GO!” His voice cracked, becoming a metallic ring at the end, and thundering around the campsite. Nora obeyed without a word, and Nahim fought the elf of a thousand years alone.
Rigere held her ground, but Nahim did too. Where one had magic, the other had skill. Nahim could feel the elf growing stronger in her rage, his voice rose in tune, the Realn words once again pulling from the deepest feelings of his heart. The Lost Child cried out again. Rigere cried out in a loud voice some hideous spell, and flung Nahim with the strength of a mormaka against a tree. His vision fuzzed, but he regained his feet, only to have something impact his back, throwing him forward.
Angere had already recovered from his wound.
Nahim reached for his sword, but found it far from him, lying among some leaves. He tried to scramble for it, but Rigere and Angere, combining their strength stopped him. He reached for his gungedal, but found it gone too.
With a battlecry, Nahim ran into his opponents, without weapon, but yet not. His fists lashed out, his armor like iron knuckles.
Thrown, tossed, kicked, beaten. The odds of Nahim grew thinner in the next couple minutes. The voice of the Lost Child rose again, as he punched Angere in the jaw. But something cold slipped between his Mithweve, and Nahim vaguely felt the sensation of being stabbed, but without the pain. He brought his elbow back, the sharp piece of metal piercing Rigere’s cheek. Diving between the two, he caught his sword up, and slashed out, but the elves had disappeared. Vaporized.
Nahim turned in circles, his sword out and ready. His vision blurred, and his heart pounded in his ears, but his adrenaline drove the pain in his head away. Something black dripped onto his boot. Nahim froze and looked up.
Perched in the tree above him was Rigere, ready to strike like a snake, black blood rolling down her cheek. She pounced, but Nahim held his sword above his head. His miscalculated with his blurred vision, and the elf, came down on his arm, her knife ready to stab him. He drove her off, using the strength of his armor.
Where is Angere?Â
I apologize for how poor quality this is, I’ve taken to long already, so I’m just going to post it and hope for the best.

December 19, 2023 at 7:53 am #170369Does Kari have a weapon of any kind that she would have been given? I know there was some minimal training, or at least, they planned to. I don’t remember if that ended up happening or if the fire diverted everything.

December 19, 2023 at 8:34 am #170370Kari would have been given beginner training in the use of a light weight sword. She would have weapons, but nothing too big since I doubt she’s strong enough to use a broadsword.
