They’re pretty much just sitting around the campfire. They captured Vethe, and she is unconscious (I think) still.

Yeah, she’s still unconscious, though she’ll probably be waking up soon.

            Nahim

Vorgan. Vorgan back from the dead. The drider-like king had his sword out, the fine point aimed at one of the sleeping forms at the fire, the light glistening in his evil, dark eyes. A smile Nahim had learned to hate and fear stretched across the sharp features. Nahim cryed out, yelling at the top of his lungs, and trying to get up. But invisible bonds held hi m tightly, pressing into his laid-bare skin. How could he have slept through his armor being taken away and him being bound so tightly? His heart quickened its pace, and he strained with all his might against the bonds, but they held fast. The figure under threat of being killed, rolled over in their sleep, face now away from the fire, and towards Nahim. It was a fair face, with lips like he was about to break into a smile, and features relaxed in gentle sleep. His hair was blonde, with black roots. No, no it couldn’t be. Vorgan saw the look on his face, and laughed.

“This time, Nayhelm, no holographics.” Nahim strained against his bonds again, yelling in his thick, Nayhelmic Realn. A small object rolled over to him, spherical in shape, with brown its main color, but with glowing yellow cracks. A Terror bomb. It detonated in a few seconds, the yellow, crooked, lightning like fingers consuming Nahim’s writhing body. Through the pain, and the yellow around him, Nahim saw the sword in Vorgan’s hands poised to come down on Mandin. Nahim screamed Mandin’s name and then…

He bolted awake. Sweat drenched his face and neck. He took in deep breaths, as he felt for the bonds that had held him a second ago. They were gone, so was the Terror bomb, and Vorgan. The pain was a background of distant memory, and so was that dead king. Still unsure about his dream, Nahim looked over at the campfire, no one lay where Mandin had. He relaxed his tense muscles, and noticed that he had roused the entire camp. Fennin knelt by him, feeling his forehead.

“He doesn’t have a fever.” Nora smiled at Nahim from behind Fennin.

“Are you okay?”  Nahim pushed passed Fennin’s hand, attempting to sit up, but Fennin pushed him down.

“What’s the matter Nahim? What happened?” Nahim looked at Nora, and she gave him a knowing look back. She answered Fennin,

“He just had one of his nightmares. He gets them occasionally.” Fennin relaxed, and Nahum stood. He eyed everyone around the campfire. As he counted them, he almost panicked.

            “Where’s Carrie?”

As Jonas will know, but not all of you, Mandin is Nahim’s best friend, a very kind man that everyone likes. He’s from Guardian Angels.

As none of you will know, Nahim was captured by Vorgan, where Vorgan wanted to break him, so he used a holographic of Mandin, tortured “Mandin” and then killed him in front of Nahim. Since Nahim thought it was the real Mandin until Nahim was rescued, it impressed upon him. Even when rescued, Nahim had to see Mandin face to face and know it was the real Mandin before he believed it.

Terror bombs are part of an assortment of Terror weapons that the Nanians use.

Yeah, Nahim suffers from PTSD, though most people don’t know it. He started getting it when he was like sixteen, and it’s just grown in intensity since with each new experience in war. But he doesn’t stop fighting wars, he was trained by a Master personally more than most, so he feels like he has to keep fighting.

Ok I’m just going to start a coordinated assault by the villains. Put your character in the group if you want to help spread chaos (while the warrior writhes in his sleep)

Here’s the General: he’s like a black cloak floating around, with glowing eyes and mouth. He’s basically a shadow in a cloak with eyes. He has white hands, and wields a skinny, javelin-like wand with a small black stone on the end. This allows him to cast destroying spells. I’m going to put him with three soldiers, John, and Styx so they’re not alone.

                    The General

“How far away are the miscreants?” snarled the General.

The three empty-eyed soldiers snapped to attention, their pikes as straight as flagpoles. “One half of a mile, General,” said the middle one, in an aetherial voice devoid of substance. “About a quarter-hour’s quick march.”

“Good, good…” The General began to pace, if you could call it that. He had no legs, and so “floated” would be a more accurate term. His javelin rested on his back like a fly on a horse’s flank. “John! What does your seeing stone show us?”

John had the hood of his cloak thrown back to reveal a middle-aged man with curly brown hair, and a curly brown beard to match. He rummaged in his cloak, and pulled out a large purple orb. He spat a crude incantation, and studied the result. “They sit around a campfire. One has already tried to kill, and is taken. The giant-” he rubbed the stone with his sleeve, confused for a second. “-the giant, Nivlaco, sits with them. Some sleep, none guard.”

The General cackled. “Fools! We will come upon them without warning, and slay all!”

“Of course, General. It will be done,” the three soulless soldiers chanted in unison. They began moving off into the forest.

“No, idiots!” the General raged. “Come back!” The soldiers turned back robotically, and stood at attention again.

“How shall we slay all with three soldiers and two sorcerers? You are of much power, General, but not of that much power. The giant will squash these soldiers like a peasant squashes fleas he finds in his bed.”

The General began pacing again. “That is why we wait. And do not think we are alone…” he finished, pulling out three jars. Three pixies sat inside in a huff. One wore a black suit with a black bowtie, another wore a leafy dress, and the third, Styx, wore a tunic and wrappings, had a laurel wreath with flowers on his head, and carried a stick wand. All three leered pointy smiles at John. “They are easily tamed with the correct spell. We will subjugate them to our power, and then, if no others join us, we will depart.

A rustle in the bushes caused John to whirl. “Who goes? Be ye friend, or be ye foe? If you mean harm to the stone-seekers, then you are friend! Reveal thyself!”

                      Zash

“We’re here on the Dark King’s orders, idiot!” Zash snapped as he strode out of the shadows. “Have you found them?”

                      ————-

That’s all I have for now. Anyone is allowed to have their villains be with Zash. Dlek at least is.

@everyone (too lazy for tags lol)

                          Snake

A newcomer…and not the friendly kind. Fortunately she was unconscious.

The giant had caught her, apparently. It was funny that he was called such–he was barely half Snake’s full height–but it made sense that humans would call something one and a half times as large as them “giant.”

Something moved in the forest nearby. Snake tensed up, spikes rattling, ready to dart for cover or shoot into the sky and attack.

(he’ll probably be the first one to lash out if the villains really do attack)

Nahim will pick up his pacing again, he always paces after a nightmare, and doesn’t go back to sleep.

                            Fennin

At the mention of the missing Carrie, he looked around.

                            “Where’s Tren?”

                            @beth-torres

I think i’m going to start the Tren&Carrie romance soon!

                            Tren

Tren pushed aside the brush, seeing Carrie with another figure, a boy.

“Carrie,” He hoarsely whispered, “What are you doing out here? You shouldn’t be out here where no one knows where you are. Who’s this?”

Vethe awoke with a pounding headache. She stayed completely still, all except her fingers, which were testing the bonds around her wrists. She wasn’t going to be able to get them off. Vethe spoke. “Unbind me.”
