Ottoline
She approached the large elk, with a sense of awe. This animal was huge…it could trample her in a moment…but it didn’t. It just stood there, eyeing her curiously. She reached out to touch it’s soft muzzle, and it’s warm breath tickled her palm.
It had rose pink fur, and dark brown eyes that stirred something within her. She knew she was going to like her elk.
“What are you waiting for?” Hugo laughed from behind her. “It’s not gonna bite you…”
“I don’t see you on yours either,” Ottoline smirked, turning to face him.
“Oh. Yeah. Good point,” Hugo laughed.
Ottoline moved to climb on, but she was too short to even reach the saddle horn.
“Um…” she said, embarrased. “Hugo? Can you-uh, give me a boost?” she giggled a little.

“We seriously have to ride elk?” Hugo asked no one in particular, “Why not something cooler like a tiger or a horse?”
He noticed that Ottoline was standing by hers and not getting on.“What are you waiting for?” He laughed. “It’s not gonna bite you…”
“I don’t see you on yours either,” She smirked, turning around to look at him.
He laughed, “Good point!” And he turned back towards his elk. How was he supposed to mount this thing, sure he was tall enough but he would probably end up sliding off.
Then Ottoline spoke, “Um…Hugo? Can you-uh, give me a boost?”
He turned back towards her with a smile on his face that was more comforting, not teasing, “Sure!”
He walked over and got down on one knee and held out his hand, “Go on, you dont need to worry, I probably wont drop you.”
She laughed and placed her foot on his hand and he lifted her up onto her elk.
“Thanks,” She said, “Really.”
“Anytime!” He said, looking straight into her eyes, “Anytime.”
