“Who is that?” I questioned, in a calmer tone as I began to wind down a bit from the chaos.
“Are there still people in the castle?” Now that I had time to contemplate, I had a million questions. “Where are we going? I can wait to get this looked at if people, I know it’d have to be the ones outside, need help. Does anyone need help? I can do it. But where are we going?” I caught myself saying a ton of things at once as we walked, and so I then shut my mouth.

We’re going to find her and you aren’t going to help anyone until you can use both hands to do it.” Tren led Carrie into the unburned part of the palace, walking down the halls, and calling names. Periodically, he spoke in Lillening. They heard voices, and rounding the corner saw Elis, Fennin, Zahlin and three others.
“Fennin!” Tren called. The prince turned.
“Tren! Tren, where were you?” Fennin came to his friend.
“I was apparently rescuing maidens and cats! This is Carrie.”

Oh great, socialization. I thought sarcastically as the six people came into sight. I loved talking, but didn’t prefer talking to more than eight people a day, preferably.
Tren introduced me to Prince Fennin, I simply said “Nice to meet you” with a nod. I had zoned out realizing my backpack was not with me. I had no clue where it had gotten lost.

Marcurious sat down beside her. “No kidding,” he muttered. “I don’t think we’ve met,” he addressed Hugo, sticking out his hand. “I’m Marcurious, Otto’s brother. You must be the lucky man of my sister’s dreams.” Ottoline’s cheeks flushed and she smacked Marcurious on the arm, but she smiled anyway. “Take it from me,” Marcurious shook his head, “It’s really hard to impress her, so you should get an award or something.”
