Fennin
Fennin coughed. Where’s Tren? They had been separated in the flames, and Fennin still couldn’t see him. He didn’t even know where he was himself. He fought Gilganning soldiers alone, stopping sometimes to urge on some of his people trying to put out the fire.
Eventually the soldiers gave up, and retreated. But Fennin pursued. He killed them, but he could no longer breath. He gasped, and coughed. All his lungs took in was smoke. His nostrils burned and his eyes watered ( @calyhuge btw, Lillening and Gilganing water is opaque light blue) his chest felt on fire from the inside. He had little time to get out of the smoke before he passed out. Holding his breath, he ran through the flames and the smoke, being burned and unable to take a breath. Finally, as his strength seemed to fail, he burst out of the flames and collapsed onto the ground, gasping for breath.

Any noun can become a verb if you don't care enough.
November 24, 2023 at 11:02 am #166577Should Fennin just find them on his own, or do we have to have someone go fetch him?

Getting up, Fennin coughed and walked down the hall, going to the guests bedrooms. The door was knocked off it’s hinges for the men’s, and Nahim or his mother or Nora were in sight. The girl’s room was empty and untouched.
“Ellis! Zahlin! Nahim! Nora! Mother! Tren!” He called out names, his voice echoing down the silent halls. He went the opposite way he had come, taking turns and looking down hallways, until he found a pool of Lillening blood, marks of some kind of fight, and even some drops of the red blood of his guests (this is from… I can’t remember! Ugh! The guy with the knives, when he got stabbed with the spear and his own knives).
He called names again, but no one answered.

@rae we’re going to need Fennin to come in here. I’m going to just assume he’s out in a courtyard
Katonia
“He can run, but he can’t hide!” I yelled. Brian didn’t answer. We sprint after the retreating form. I dig in my satchel for a jar. No jar! I look around. Something glass. No time to stop! The pixie turns off into a side passage. A moment later we round the corner.
At the end of a short hall was a doorway, with the doors already burnt off. Styx, still in his soldier disguise, but without the pike, was gesticulating to a short, black-haired boy who looked like he was in charge. A retinue of soliers surrounded him, fighting slightly taller, darker folk.
“Don’t listen to whatever he says! He can’t be trusted! He’s a fake!” I yelled, still charging towards them.
Styx pointed at us. “Those are the traitors I told you about. Kill them now, before they do to you as they did to your mother!”
We skidded to a stop. The prince looked torn. “He’s lying! We gave her a healing stone! We didn’t hurt her!”
“That’s just what her killers would say,” lied Styx.
Brian watched to see what the prince would do. His sword twitched.

Pressure’s on @rae who’s he gonna believe?
