If you can get him to let go, they’ll be fine, though depending on how long they were held they probably won’t be feeling very great. Theoretically, someone could fight him off by resisting his efforts to drain their life enough, though that would be extremely difficult.
He can be stabbed, though it will more annoy him than anything. He’s more vulnerable in the spiritual plane, which is not very helpful since most characters won’t have anything that will be able to do that.
There’s probably more stuff I could add, but I have to go now. Talk later.

Hi y’all, this looks awesome! Can I join?
I have a ton of medieval characters, and some super-heros and villians, all well-acquainted with death, destruction, plots, queens, evil queens, plots against queens, killing evil undead queens… and so on. Magic – Good: music and jewels with magical properties. – Bad: Spells, incantations, wands, shape-shifting, and Pixies. Also have experience with dragons.
@jonas *facepalms* my heroine is called Kate. Her full first name is Katonia, so I might have to just use that…I attempted a summary but I did my usual thing and flunked it with a F-, can you summarize…again plz?

Summary
The first seven characters, plus some who have since dropped out, met in a magic house that trapped them inside and eventually transported itself to Lillen, where they met the Queen. The rest of the characters showed up later, except the villains. They learned that they were there to fight the dragons that were destroying Lillen. Specifically, they were tasked with retrieving nine magical stones from their guardian dragons to reunite them, which would help protect Lillen. Since then, they’ve been getting ready, having some squabbles in the meantime.
Meanwhile, the King Koshtin in Lillen’s neighbor, Gilgan, summoned some villains to try to stop the heroes. One of them, Vethe, defected, and ran away.
The villains are currently attacking the palace of Lillen, which is also on fire thanks to Fire Face
