Kian’s eyes shot open. Where was he? He stood up and pulled out his sword, slowly spinning around trying to identify any possible threats. Who had kidnapped him? The last thing he remembered was falling asleep. But nobody was able to get into a Shamil fortress. It must have been one of his own men.
If only Kian could get his hands on him… then he’d learn never to play games with his king again. Or he wouldn’t be able to ever do it again…
Kian readjusted his grip on his sword. This didn’t look like Rashkitan. He crept over to the dark hallway that probably led out of this room. Then a soft noise met his ears… footsteps?
With alert and steady movements, Kian made his way over to the hallway, where the sound was coming from. It came closer, almost matching Kian’s footsteps exactly. Then he pivoted on the ball of his foot and pressed his sword against the neck of whoever was with him.
