Zahlin
Zahlin regretted not hurling that chunk of metal at Nahim’s face.
As he fell against the wall, he grabbed Nahim’s shoulder, smashing his fist against his head and kicking him away across the room. He slumped against the wall, panting and eyeing Nahim to see what his next move would be.

Nahim
Zahlin punched Nahim in the head and kicked him across the room, where he fell against a table leg, half propped up. He leaned against it with his breathing growing a little heavy. His eyes were half-shut.
Pain. It throbbed through his head, pounding against the walls of his skull in rthymn of his heart. He gripped his sword handle tighter as his vision grew blurred and the straightened out before going blurry again.
Zahlin leaned against the wall across from him, observing but making no movement.
Nahim knew he should stop, he probably had a serious concussion now for sure, but he wouldn’t stop for Zahlin. His adrenaline was flowing quicker, his heart quickened its beat. He had to finish this fight.
He could shoot Zahlin, or throw something at him, but Nahim knew doing that was against Code. He had never yet thrown away his Honor in a duel, and he wouldn’t start now.
Nor would he start making peace before the end just because something hurt.
Rising slowly, Nahim steadied his stance, and his breathing. He readied his sword. But his vision blurred in and out.
He wasn’t having a good day.
Finally, he charged Zahlin, and the blades clashed again.
Dodging, blocking, thrusting, missing, all happened again, but this time Nahim could only see the movements of Zahlin, everything else, besides the glow of the fire, was a blur.

Nahim (continued)
Nahim thrust at Zahlin, only for him to step aside and strike at Nahim again. He saw his chance, as Zahlin sliced at him, he left under his arm open.
All happened in a blur, but Nahim avoided the swing and cut at Zahlin’s unshielded side. He knew Zahlin moved, but he also knew he had hurt him. And yes, there was a stain on Zahlin’s clothes around a cut. Nahim now wasn’t the only one hurt.

1 Zahlin, you really hurt my charrie
2 Being unconscious over six hours (the first time he got knocked out) usually indicates a severe TBI
3 Zahlin is dead. One of the after symptoms that happen with a TBI is anger outbursts.
4 Technically, Nahim should relax for one week and slowly return to normal if he wants to recover in like three or four weeks. If he’s just going to go fighting dragons, he could be seeing symptoms for months! But of course, Nahim would not relax even if there was no dragon bunch to fight.
