I know that’s what I was thinking lol. I wasn’t thinking we’d have to intentionally make them angry.
Now I just need to fabricate a way to make Zahlin drop it lol.
Hmm… there aren’t any bladed weapons in the area yet are there?😏

November 3, 2023 at 8:02 pm #162962Zahlin could make some comment about Nahim’s headache that is a little, Idk, Zahlin-ish? And Nahim yells at him and it escalates.

November 3, 2023 at 8:03 pm #162963Ooooh, that would work too. That is something he’d do 🤣

November 3, 2023 at 8:06 pm #162964Nahim could ask Zahlin to hold one Nahim’s sword, but why and how? Maybe Nahim asks to see Zahlin’s weapon, but again, why?
Maybe we skip to when Nahim’s pounding out a blade (since I just realized swords kinda need to have a pointy tip pounded in and not moulded right? Maybe spearheads are in the moulds since they can be blunter, and arrow heads too. Idk, I don’t feel like doing one of my weird searches)

November 3, 2023 at 8:07 pm #162965I like the headache comment best.

November 3, 2023 at 8:09 pm #162967Btw, @highscribe mentioned that spears don’t count for Zahlin.

Nahim seemed to be moving as if in a trance. He didn’t seem to be thinking at all. Zahlin wondered if he really had given him a concussion.
“I’ve never seen a headache stop someone from murder.” He said dryly. “I’d thought by this point one of us would be dead.” He cocked an eyebrow. “Are you really fine?”
I’m pretty sure that was a bad idea Zahlin… The Sword said.

I have to go now. Talk to you tomorrow, and continue the chaos, hopefully. Bye!

November 3, 2023 at 8:12 pm #162972November 3, 2023 at 8:15 pm #162973I have to go too!
Here’s the start of the other two character groups:
Ellis
Before long, Ellis found himself in a courtyard with Ottoline, Kaine, and Snake, before a group of waiting Lillenings.
“So they want us to teach these people how to fight?” Ellis whispered to the others, scratching his head, “I mean, I know how to use a sword and a bow, but I’ve never taught anyone else to do it.”
Ellis wasn’t even sure how well trained the others were.
“Maybe we should practice together first?” Ellis suggested.
He turned to the group of waiting Lillenings. “Um…” he said uncertainly, “we’re going to work on our own today. You can come back tomorrow. We’ll be ready to reach you then…hopefully,” he added under his breath as they dispersed.
———-
Kate
I can’t believe I’m being assigned to…whatever we’re supposed to be doing, thought Kate as she was led along a corridor with Nora, Kari, and Amir, anything else would be better!
Finally they arrived in a small room with shelves of maps and stashes of information with a round table in the middle.
The four of them sat down and their guide left.
———-
If anyone is confused, the characters are all working in groups: Zahlin, Nahim, Hedieh, and Hugo at the forge; Ellis, Ottoline, Snake, and Kaine at training; and Kate, Nora, Kari, and Amir at planning scouting operations.
Bye for tonight!

“I’ve never seen a headache stop someone from murder.” Zahlin said dryly. “I’d thought by this point one of us would be dead.” He cocked an eyebrow. “Are you really fine?”
Nahim stopped his movements and looked at Zahlin before pulling off the armor plates and long glove over his metal lower arm, and held it up.
“I’ve almost bled to death more than once. Been almost crushed more than once. Almost broken my neck once. Almost been eaten twice. Gotten so serious a concussion the doctors were really worried before. Almost died from a fever when I was a baby. Almost burned in lava. Almost died in a spaceship crash. I think I can handle a headache thank you!” In reality, Nahim really did think he had a serious concussion. Being unconscious over six hours usually was a good warning sign of one. “Besides,” Nahim grabbed his sword in his left hand. “I still want that duel. If those two observers will move to the side, we can settle it right here, right now.”
