Yeah, okay. I kind of thought that they were intentionally being put in antagonistic groups to force them to work together, but I guess Fennin would have the same problem we’re having, so let’s say:

Ellis – Ottoline
Kate – Nora
Snake – Kaine
Kari – Amir
Hugo – Hedieh

You said other bladed weapons. He could do spears or something. Also, I’m not an expert on metal working, but I don’t think that swords start out sharp, I don’t see how they could, in which case he’d be fine.

Nahim would be set to the forges. Ellis sent to train others. So on so forth. Fennin plans to set the pairs to work on different things so they can get going to save Lillen sooner. Also, it gets them working on strong points.
Don’t worry about Zahlin and the forging, Nahim understands and respects vows, his culture treating them as sacred. Nahim himself has made binding vows.
