            @ Anyone

Hey, book lovers! Does anyone know any Christian romantic suspense authors that are good? I’m trying to find some so I have comparative titles for my manuscripts, but I don’t know any authors! πŸ˜‚

I heard Vanessa and Kristina Hall are good. They are sisters but they write separate books. If you look up either one they should come up. I’m not a romance fan so I don’t read or write books like that. They are both Christians and I’ve been told that their books are clean. They’re both on Goodreads and Amazon. Probably other places too but those are the places I’m most familiar with.

@acancello My latest book obsession is For Whom the Sun Sings. It’s dystopian but without dystopian clichΓ©s (i.e. no angsty teenagers and no robots overtaking the world 😜), and it’s. . . truly a masterpiece. <3 It’s about an eleven-year-old boy who can see in a society where every man, woman, and child is blind. The characters are heart-breaking, and the theme is beautifully portrayed. <3 Definitely recommend.

Alright! I have just finished a new book, “Rose in bloom” By Louisa May Alcott. Did anyone read it? (Its the sequal to eight cousins) Did you like it? Please let me know! I would love to talk about it!

@acancello Ooooh, I love A Rose in Bloom! The way Alcott developped the characters from Eight Cousins and kept them realistic was incredibly intriguing. Charlie absolutely broke my heart. *fp* But Mac is amazing, and Archie is still the best. XD And Jamie is always the sweetest.

It was such an amazing book! I think the end was a bit slow, but good. I know, poor Charlie!😭I actually cried. Rose was my favorite character, but I feel like Charlie could have been second. Have you read the 3 little women books? Rebecca of Sunnybrook farms?

@acancello Yesss, it’s so saddddd. I have indeed read the Little Women books, and I’ve started Rebecca once but never really got into it. πŸ˜… Is it worth trying again?

I loved Rose in Bloom!!! It’s one of my favorite Alcott books actually. Having one of the cousins die was so sad. I was in suspense about who she would marry. I knew it wouldn’t be Charlie, but I was hoping for Archie (‘course that hope was killed in the first chapter, XD). But Mac was awesome. I loved the part when he’s learning to dance and leaves Rose at the ball.

Rebecca of Sunnybrook farms was good but not nearly as good as any of Louisa May Alcotts books. πŸ™‚

Rose in bloom was pretty hilarious, sad, sweet and lifelike. I just love all of Louisa May Alcotts books! But I do like little women, little men and Jos boys a bit better than the Eight cousins series, though they come in second! πŸ˜€
