      Ahhh, yessss. Rilla of Ingleside is honestly one of my favorite books. <3 Walter is amazing.

      Same!!!!!!

      Did you ever see the poem someone wrote for him (the one that they allude to in the book many times)?

      Um… I can’t remember… which poem was it?

          @acancello Ooh. . . it sounds vaguely familiar, but I don’t think I’ve read it. What’s it about?

            @euodia-vision Ack, I thought I had responded to this. I found it online and can’t for the life of me find out who wrote it, but it’s beautiful. <3

            The piper piped in the valley

            Of rainbow hopes and fears,

            A song as old as the Angels

            That fell on our idle ears;

            And the elfin echoes of laughter

            Were lost in the dying day

            As we forget, for the moment

            To lose ourselves in play.

            He stood on the golden skyline

            A mystic figure there,

            His cloak, blown out behind him

            On the smoke-blue evening air

            And the lilt of his distant piping

            Was borne upon the wind

            Beckoning – beckoning – beckoning us

            To follow on behind.

            He piped us out of the valley

            Of rainbow hopes and fears,

            He piped us into the cold world,

            Of broken dreams and tears;

            A gypsy lure in the twilight

            A song on the wind-swept dawn,

            Our hearts may faint within us–

            Yet we follow, follow on.

                Heres a quick overview of it (borrowed from another place 🙂 )

                Auggie or August introduces himself to the reader. He’s ten years old, and though he feels normal, he wishes he had a “normal” face. He declines to describe what his face looks like, insisting that it’s probably worse than whatever the reader is imagining. August has been home schooled his entire life because he’s had so many surgeries. However, one day in the spring, August overhears Mom and Dad talking about sending August to middle school. August is upset and doesn’t want to go, but he agrees to try.

                I love this book so much! You should give it a try if you haven’t read it yet 😀

                      @acancello That sounds amazing. I’ll have to see if our library has it.

                        Yes! I read Auggie and me and loved it soooo much! It went perfectly with Wonder and I thought it was so cool that it showed you kinda “behind the scenes” of the book!

                          @anyone

                          Anyone read any books by Joel Rosenburg? He writes Adult Thriller novels about Iran taking over the U.S…stuff like that. It’s Christian, and pretty clean (there’s violence though) although I can’t speak for all of them.

                          He must increase, but I must decrease.

                              AGREED! Have you heard that they’re making a movie based off Julian’s Chapter??

                                Auggie and Me was my favorite! I loved Charlotte’s POV story especially but Julian’s was also pretty interesting. I love books that show you why antagonists are the way they are.

                                  Thanks for reminding me about it. It’s been forever since I read it. I’m pretty sure I have the audio book. Now I really want to reread it again. Lol
