So… I dug up one of my own stories. This little masterpiece came about because a five-year-old was a little too crazy about cats. *rubs hand together* Guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat and not be boring at all.
Once there was a family of cats. One snowy winter night their mother invited her kittens in to a lovely cake. It was, after all, Rainbow’s birthday. After their cake their mother let them play with the dogs that lived beside them. They saw some red winged black birds. There was a cat named Lucky, and a cat named Rainbow, and a cat named Bobo. And they all jumped and ran and played.
The end.
*takes a bow* Rainbow later got married and had a family of her own and one of her kittens moved in with the dogs, who by that time were half-convinced they were cats themselves, but that’s the next book in the series. 😛 This was like an eight-book serial that went on for several years and had spinoffs. *nods gravely* I was so professional back then.

@daughteroftheking That’s beautiful! (I’m glad you kept writing!) It’s really funny to me because I think at one point I had started a story about a bunch of cats that run away together (except I never wrote that far.. so they never left their homes) anyway the funny part is that I think I had named one of them rainbow too. I guess great minds think alike. *chuckles*
