It appears I mostly just pop out of the woodworks to drop random art now.
This is for a Mech Arena YTer who’s holding an art contest for a new banner to go on his YT page. His username is Night Fury btw, so that’s where that came from.

*rather lengthy preamble*
Y’all, Koshka and I are relisting to LotR. It’s not a story I grew up reading, but it played an important part of my mid teens. And now that we’re going over these familiar chapters again, I find myself commenting “Oh, I love this part! This is my favorite chapter.” Over and over again. XD We were so riveted the first time we read it. Many of those “favorite scenes” are places when I meet again the characters and settings as I first imagined them, back when I didn’t even know who Aragorn was or whether Frodo managed to destroy the ring.
All that to say, the scenes from Pippin’s POV when he’s with Gandalf are some of my favorites. I love the hilarious, yet deep friendship between the two. Their little conversations at the window in Gandalf’s quarters are iconic. So I drew them as I saw them, and it turned out so cute that I thought I’d share. XD

Oh! And the Night Fury Mech Arena art above for that art contest, I won it. I got the equivalent of about $20 in game rewards, so that was nice.
The guy I drew it for also thanked me multiple times, even hopping on a VC I was in just to say it, so needless to say he is a fan.

I know I am so behind, but let me just say, scammer or no scammer, the complement still stands and I’ll back it up! I really do love your art style and it is really good. I hope that you do all the art for the book when you get it published!

Is there a character you all would like to see drawn? From whatever literature has been on your mind recently, LotR, Green Ember, WFS, the Boxcar Children, etc. The inspo would be fun.
I will say, I’ve been intending to do Denethor too, since my impression of him from the books has often been a humorous point in conversation with others. Apparently, not many people really respected him upon their first meeting. His death scene is also so well done, with just enough hope that it could go the other way that it actually hurts when he turns back into the fire. (If only he had just gone to his boy when Faramir called!) That’s why we are careful what our little ears listen to, children. Don’t doomscroll on your personal palantír.
It could be a bit before I do it, since I have other projects I am working on, but it’s nice to have something fun like this to practice.
