September 3, 2024 at 10:09 pm #185239OHHHH, that’s who it is! Okay, no lie, this is crazy. A friend showed me his picture a few months back and yesterday I decided to draw Alan and that image kinda came to my mind and I didn’t even realize it was from that picture! It’s so weird how things do that! lol.
Very interesting. I like the artist, whoever it is. lolololol

September 3, 2024 at 10:24 pm #185242It’s pretty detailed to be from a months-old memory, do you have photographic memory? Just curious because I only know one person with that.

September 3, 2024 at 10:55 pm #185247the best thing I can think of is to make the direction of the hair accurate. Hair points in different direction depending on how much their is and where it is, so using a reference is good. I find it’s much easier to draw facial hair that follows a already established guide, like the jawline or cheekbone. If I’m just drawing a little bit of stubble, I put it above the mouth, on the chin, and along the jawline. Sure, there’s probably other hair too, but you only need to draw it where it’s darkest.

September 4, 2024 at 8:26 am #185257I phased that super poorly. Lol.
I remember events, stories, visuals, that sort of thing. For example, I stopped reading a series when I was thirteen. I can still tell you exactly what was happening to all the characters when I stopped and even the last line of the last book I read.
However, I can’t tell you the year we moved, how long we’ve been going to our church, what I read in science three days ago…. that sort of thing.
We knew someone who could remember ANYTHING. He would read a page and then recite it back word-for-word. He remembered literally anything.
I’m not like that.
I remember things where it counts. lol. Basically, long story short, if it made an impression I will remember it.

September 4, 2024 at 1:50 pm #185264@ellette-giselle man he does look like Keefe lol
funny enough in the novels he comes from, Keefe also has a photographic memory and is a great artist. Several of the illustrations in the guidebook for his novel series are attributed to him in-universe.
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
