I actually started writing this scene and thought of changing the POV from Ev to Ami since it was Ami’s family that was playing around, but then when I realized how Ev felt, I was like, no way am I changing this. I had never realized before that Ev didn’t get to goof off with his family because of Malyk. And that made me feel so much worse for him, cuz me and my fam goof off all the time. 😢

Definitely. 😉 I love writing scenes like that. 😁 (What makes this scene even funnier though, is that the joke about hunting pancakes is sorta an inside joke that was created when our youth group went camping last year. 😂 I love throwing in Easter eggs like that. 😁)
