@epicaddie2 @lady-iliara @0-0enyali0-0 @sam-kowal @princessfoo @dragon-snapper @ingridrd @everyone-else
I know a lot of you have been holding your breath for the KPA for awhile, so I’m just going to poke a small hole to let a little bit of the air out… Okay, that was a weird analogy… XD
Good news: I HAVE OFFICIALLY STARTED WRITING THE STORY! For a LONG time, I have been making notes for it, but I hadn’t actually started WRITING the darned thing until now! I’m currently starting on the prologue, starring @kate-flournoy, set in the Castle Rengis (Regnis? Snapper, how do you spell it again??).
You can pronounce it however you want.

@dekreel Yay! I can’t wait! 😀 (Question: Am I in the story? No pressure, but I do have a tinge of writerly curiosity.)(It’s written ‘Regnis’. It’s something spelled backwards. I’ll let you figure it out, if you wish.) 😉

November 30, 2017 at 3:13 pm #54914@dekreel That’s great news! Congratulations! *shakes your hand vigorously*
(And I must echo @dragon-snapper’s question because I am just as curious…don’t feel obligated to put me into the story but…maybe?)

November 30, 2017 at 3:33 pm #54915@dragon-snapper @ingridrd Yes, you are both in the story!
“Singer?” Interesting! Why is it called that? Is there a reason?

November 30, 2017 at 3:40 pm #54916@dekreel Well…yes. There is a reason. The reason was that at the time I was bored, couldn’t find a name for the castle. So I glanced around the room–this was during homeschool break–saw a Singer sowing maching, and thus it was the name of the castle was born. 😉
Ooh yay! I’m curious to see how you portray me.

November 30, 2017 at 4:04 pm #54921@dragon-snapper Ahh! Awesome! Isn’t is funny how we can get inspiration from the smallest things, like sewing machines? 😀
@daeus @kate-flournoy @ingridrd @sam-kowal @emma-flournoy @winter-rose @lady-iliara @0-0enyali0-0 @princessfoo Just to tease you guys a little bit, I’m going to give you the first few lines of the prologue.Enjoy!
The first thing that Kate saw, as her eyes fluttered open, was her dragon Kai, nudging her, making concerned snorting noises.
She heard a voice, “Kate, what happened? Are you all right?” The owner of the voice stooped above her: King Daeus. The raspberry on his breath brought her back to the castle Regnis, where she had been reading letters to the King, his sister, and a few other knights and officials.
She had been reciting a letter, in which Kalmar, the new king of the recently revived kingdom of Anniera, was describing the tedious process of rebuilding the toppled walls of his castle Rysen. But in the middle of the letter, Kate had suddenly grown sleepy and fatigued, and before she knew it, she found herself dreaming.
Now, she pushed away Kai’s nose and sat up. “Yes, I think I’m all right,” she replied to Daeus absentmindedly. What was that dream she just had? Something about darkness. Something about falling. Like falling down a …deep …dark…Void.
Her expression grew terrified, and she began shaking her head slowly. “No… oh, no.” she whispered in despair.
“What? What’s wrong?” Her sister Emma was by her side now.
“No! We’ve – we’ve got to do something! It has to be stopped!”
*Dun Dun DUNNNNNN!*

November 30, 2017 at 6:41 pm #54952@dekreel This is so exciting! It looks great!
I don’t know if you are still thinking about Araluen, but I looked up a map of it. Does this help at all?
November 30, 2017 at 7:26 pm #54958@daeus Thought you might like that 😉
@princessfoo That’s perfect! Thanks!!You can pronounce it however you want.
November 30, 2017 at 9:00 pm #54984@dekreel *dies because of Wingfeather Saga references* This is going to be so much fun!

November 30, 2017 at 10:12 pm #55013@daughteroftheking I knew you’d like the Wingfeather Saga reference!! I’m dropping in other references to other books, too. 🙂
By the way, what does N.C. stand for?

December 1, 2017 at 12:48 pm #55036@Dekreel ooh, that’s an unusually flattering representation of me waking up. It usually involves rolling over at least five times and eventually tumbling off the bed tangled in my fleecy blanket (with static hair flying all over the place) and then crawling my way still half asleep to my closet while splitting my ears with yawning and trying not to eat my tangled hair. XD
Okay, slight exaggeration. Maybe. Sometimes.
I must say I’ve never been a main character before. Please don’t kill me. ;P
December 1, 2017 at 1:05 pm #55041@kate-flournoy Yes, but do you do that after having fainted in the throne room and had a terrible dream? XD
Why would I kill you?? Or do you mean in the KPA? All right, I won’t! 😉
You can pronounce it however you want.
December 1, 2017 at 1:08 pm #55042@Dekreel Sweet. 😀 😀 😀
