In the middle of an endless, still, thick fog, was a place that sat in between worlds: a labyrinth, thick with twisted vines and thorny hedges, and inhabited by creatures only heard of in fairy tales. Trolls stomped along its passages, pixies played in its gardens, and things unknown peered out from under leaves and shadows.
One of these fairy creatures, a small impish thing, perched on a large stone near the entrance. His beady eyes squinted intently out into the fog as he scratched absentmindedly at his abnormally large nose. After a few seconds, the fog before him started to churn, and several figures began to emerge. The imp ceased his scratching and grinned triumphantly, revealing a row of crooked and yellowed teeth. As the strangers from the fog approached, he stood up on his rock, and declared in loud, nasally voice,
“Welcome, travelers, to the labyrinth! Prepare for adventure, magic, mystery, and a chance to earn your way back home!”
Ok, people, here’s how it’s going to work:
Kinda similar idea to the character castle. Your characters are plucked from their own worlds and emerge from the mists near the entrance of the labyrinth. Hidden throughout the vast hedge maze are blueish purple crystal balls, that, when touched by a character, will send that character back home, taking the crystal with them. This gives our characters a goal, and also gives us a way to pull characters out of the role play that makes sense with the overall story.
Feel free to make up your own creatures for our characters to encounter, whether friendly or not. You can also add any kind of statues, gardens, small buildings, or anything that would somewhat reasonably be found in the middle of an enchanted hedge maze.
I’m kinda going for the vibes of a dark fairy tale combined with the maze in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire movie. Ya’ll can write whatever/ however you want though. That’s just what’s in my head rn.
That’s all I can think of for right now, but if you have questions feel free to ask. And if you don’t have questions, feel free to start adding characters!

Gabriel Mai—The Protector
Gabriel is tall (let’s say 6’1″, but I haven’t decided on his height officially yet, so this may change but we’ll start here) with an athletic body. He has reddish brown hair that is slightly unevenly cut. I’m gonna leave off the rest of the physical description because he will be wearing his mask for a while, so the character’s won’t see his eyes or other facial descriptions.
He will be wearing the Mask of the Protector, which is a white full-face mask with five symbols on it: a rune over the left eye, a single star under the right eye, three circles on the right forehead, broken chains on the left forehead, and a piece of a flower on the left jaw area. Here’s a little picture of him:
He will be wearing coarse cotton clothes with light leather armor. Not exactly like in the picture, but oh well.
He also wears tiny earrings which during the day look silver but when moonlight touches them, they turn black. His earrings do have special effects, but it is limited, and it’s mostly just that certain types of creatures have a reaction to the stone his earrings are made out of.
As I said, he will be wearing his mask most the time, and therefore will be in his Protector personality which is slightly different than his Gabriel one. His face will be hidden completely, leaving only his hair and ears visible.
Yeah, I think that’s all you need to know…
Oh, he also does have some magical ability, but I’ll let the charries discover that.

I’m really curious to see how they’d interact with each other, since Gabriel is known for being so calm it’s eerie and he usually is also pretty serious, so they are kind of similar to each other. Plus the mask thing…

Well! Here is Leander!
Prince Leander
Leander is the Prince of the Paradalis! Here is a quick definition of the Paradalis:
They are like cats. They have the ears, tail, claws, teeth, and eyes of a cat. They can see in the dark and climb up trees. They live in the jungle, and eat birds and boars. They are mostly active at night and love to tell stories, especially around the fire. Male Paradalis have been known to like to impress women. And female Paradalis have been said to be better hunters than the male (due to their smaller and more athletic bodies).
Next! Here is Leander’s description:
Leander is a charismatic young prince, he never takes things seriously and is kinda dumb (school wise). But he is an amazing hunter! And can hunt/trap a lot of different things! He has even been known to hunt down people! 😀 (RELAX! He doesn’t kill them!…. most of the time…) He has green eyes and sharp cat like teeth. He can be rude from time to time, but it’s just to mess with people. He has a slim body with a slight tone of muscles, he has two different colored eyes, his left is green and right is amber. He has black hair and black cat ears. Leander is wearing simple black pants that were made for flexibility. He has a simple white shirt that has a collar, around his shirt is a black leather vest and a belt. He is wearing much, but he has a lot of hunting equipment that he always brings with him.
Uhm… is that a good description?
Moral of the story, "always listen to a carrot cake when it screams at you."
Yeah it would be interesting. They definitely have different lore, though. Barnes has… maybe four different reasons for wearing her mask? Five? Oh goodness, I’ve never thought about that before but it’s true. And only one reason is remotely similar to Gabriel’s reason.
