Rosey Mucklestone

@dekreel, Frances Hodgson Burnett wrote The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, etc. Louisa May Alcott wrote Little Women.

And yes, I’m Australian. 🙂

@sam-kowal I like writing fantasty, but mostly write historical fiction. My WIP is set in WWII.

Hi @dekreel! 🙂 *returns handshake* Pleased to meet you.

I’m not much of a TV person, so I’m not sure I really have a favourite movie of TV show, but I love lots of books! I grew up on Enid Blyton, Frances Hodgson Burnett, things like that. I love the Billabong series (which I’m certain you’ve never heard of, as it’s really old, and Australian)…[Read more]

@livgiordano Well, I may be wrong, but I don’t know if you can do it completely. You probably don’t have to mention God very much to make that type of message, <span style=”background-color: #ffd9de;”>but I think you’d have to just at least some. </span>

<span style=”background-color: #ffd9de;”>The question I want to ask is why God can’t be m…[Read more]

@waterlily Definitely what Elizabeth said.

Also, on another note, things like love conquers all” and “revenge leads to destruction” aren’t actually themes, they’re messages. I don’t know if you’ve ever looked into KP’s Theme Mastery course, but one of the things we teach in there is that a theme should never be controversial like “revenge leads…[Read more]

That was for compiling the ebook. Publishing it to Amazon is also very easy.

@photobloggergal Yes, it’s very easy. Do you have Scrivener? That’s what I used so I could help you the most with that, but it’s also easy to do with Word and some other programs.

@LivGiordano Yeah, I haven’t seen that many TV shows either. 😛 Plenty of period drama miniseries, but not regular TV shows.

Ahh, I think that depends on how far you watch. *wiggles eyebrows* There are lot of great older ones, but the further you get, at a certain point, you get at least two new AWESOME characters, and by default many more…[Read more]

@WarrioroftheRealm They’ve gottcha covered already. 😉

@GracieGirl HEy, that’s really cool! I didn’t know you recorded stuff. Do you record your own books, or just your favorite other books and the like? Sweet.

Heh, me? Not bad, not bad. 😛 Pretty busy (though not as busy as it sounds like you were 😉 ). But good for the most part. Reading a lot too. (I’m pretty sure you knew I’m not actually a…[Read more]

@LivGiordano Welcome, welcome, and thrice welcome!!

Little House on the Prairie‘s good. Most of the time. 😛 Sometimes the stories are really flat. But most of them aren’t. Who’s your favorite character?

And I’m so glad you love classical music. Not enough people do. 😛

@MNValentine

Heh, yeah. 😀

Oh, somebody already asked my question. 😛

@livgiordano Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet!

I’m a YDubber too, though I don’t get on the community much.

What’s your favorite fantasy book?

@That_Writer_Girl_99 aaah yes yes my sister read Scythe and O-O it sounds amazing. I haven’t gotten around to reading it but I 10000% plan to.

@Dragon-Snapper Coolio.

Oh thank you, @Dekreel! 😀 😉

@MNValentine If you think Les Miserables is basically the best book ever written, AND you have the dedication to read it a third time, you have my applause and respect. IT’S SO AMAZING. My favorite book. And as you see, Dekreel knows this. I like alerting others to its amazing presence, so it’s good to find people…[Read more]

@SeekJustice THE RECKONERS AAAAHHHH *so much flailing*

@Jenwriter17 yessss for sci fi. I definitely also vouch for The Reckoners series (Brandon Sanderson) and also The lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.

@warrioroftherealm Haven’t been on here for a while (thanks college), but I decided to give my two cents.

Yeah, elemental powers may seem pretty cliche at first glance. But there are many amazing stories that use potentially “cliched” premises as starting points. Cliche is usually a relative term. For example, revenge plots and the lovable…[Read more]
