@aratrea They don’t change particularly, but there is the sense of doubt and growing tension that continues on and builds up over the next few scenes.

Going with Orphan’s Song again, Chapter 17, I think it’s using point #9 and showing a clash between two characters and their EiL.
(I also think that -flicking through afterward- I must’ve managed to open to one of the hardest chapters to pinpoint a theme in. 😛 )

I actually got an email of a new chapter from one of the works I’m critiquing, so I did that. (And goodness did that make me a mess of feels. xP) And then I got a nice bit of plotting happening and I’m almost finished too! 🙂
