Hiii. I’m gonna be the first on here to say that I don’t celebrate Christmas, and neither does my immediate family (meaning parents/siblings). :3
(and that’s one reason why Christmas will be pretty much absent from everything I write as well🤷🏻♀️)
However, I don’t look down on anyone that does. Celebrating or not celebrating…[Read more]

I do. I also have friends who do not. One family I know celebrate a Christian version of Hanukkah instead, which is essentially celebrating how Jesus brought light into the world. The other doesn’t observe anything that could be confused with Winter Solstice and Yule. For me, I agree with @power . The holiday is what you make it.

My blunt and honest opinion? I think Christians who choose not to celebrate Christmas are living from a place of religion and not relationship with God, where it has become more about what you do and don’t do than truly living with Jesus. That’s a blanket statement, and I’m sure it doesn’t apply to everyone- if God has genuinely…[Read more]

Remeber, humanity wasn’t created for ourselves. We where created to bring glory and honor to God, and eventually be his bride.
Us humans where made in the image and likeness of God (Gen 1:26-27), and “the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” (Gen 2:18). That “good” could pos…[Read more] -

Why not just let us live in communion with Him in ignorance? I’m probably 100% wrong about this, but I think living in ignorance would be better than many actively rejecting God and being separated from Him.
I’ll give my best classical response, then my personally preferred answer.
Essentially as you’ve already said, there is victory a…[Read more]

What do you mean when you say “you’re on the fence”? Sorry! I don’t understand that part!
My family has always celebrated Christmas, but we usually don’t do much. The last time I remember getting a Christmas tree was maybe 12? years ago??? We don’t give gifts to each other either…but there’s no religious reason why we…[Read more]

Welp… I wrote a short story! XD
If you have the time, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it before I show it to friends and family. (It’s kinda long, I apologize, lol. It’s under 11k.)
Tagging some folks just in case you’re interested, but don’t feel obligated to read it. :))

Yes ma’am!! Similar to like a lot of people celebrate I think… We never grew up with Santa, so that’s never been a thing (we have nothing against it, of course, we just never “believed” in it as kids). We decorate our house for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving and we set up our Christmas tree (we have wayyyy too many ornaments…[Read more]

Yes, I celebrate Christmas. Being Catholic, I also do advent during December. It’s a time of reflection and preparation for Christ’s coming. Christmas for my family and I is when we rejoice because Jesus came to Earth, and when we remember His birth and His love for us.
However, my parents have decided to abandon certain Christmas…[Read more]

Yes, we celebrate Christmas! We Celebrate it as a remembrance of the birth of our Savior and in anticipation of His return. (I’m a Covenanter/Reformed Baptist)
Here is a really, really amazing interview about Christmas done by a pastor and famous Christian actor. It is so good and I like to watch it every year. I think it’s only…[Read more]

Yes, but not yet. Most people are celebrating already, but in my church, (I’m Anglican), we have Advent first. Unlike most people think, Advent is not the Christmas season. It is a penitential season focused primarily on the second coming, not the first. My dad says that if you do Advent right, Christmas should be a consolation prize,…[Read more]

I can keep track of them.🙂
I like books with multiple POVs, but I do get what you mean. One book I was working on had close to 20 POV characters, who all had their own subplots. I ended forgetting a lot of what was going on, and couldn’t keep track of who was who.😂 If I ever get back to that one, the number will be…[Read more]

I know I told the others I would wait until the end of this draft before I discussed if the way I included magic in the last chapter went too far, but in the mean time, I would love to here your thoughts on the matter.
