So, one of my characters is named Eldred currently. However, after doing research on his name, it is in fact from medieval English and not German or French, which is what his nationality is (he’s a knight from Terre, a country formed from German and French tribes). As of today… okay. It’s like one thing keeps coming after another though, for a few weeks now I’ve felt pretty purposeless and essentially have been waiting for death. That’s tough. It’s harder to battle emotions than thoughts, I feel like, since thoughts are solid and can be argued away, while emotions are kind of slippery and cling to you. Keep hanging in there. Okay, thank you. My dad (who is also a writer) has very similar advice, and says that no matter how bad the writing may be, it’s best to get your thoughts and ideas down and then edit.
