Thanks! To be honest, I didn’t think of all the symbolism behind the wolf, but I like your analysis of it, it’s really good! It also sparks a few more ideas so thanks!!

I’m thinking of having one part in my WIP where Eldred rescues a wolf and forms a friendship with it, and that could a show a more tender side to him.
Thank you for the help!!

@rae I like what you said about having certain habits.
@whalekeeper Interesting perspective, I hadn’t thought of it like that. I agree with both perspectives though, but for this character there is mostly a reason for why he’s serious.
@linus-smallprint The character’s name is Eldred, and he and his brother Percival are knights. He’s serious and…[Read more]

Yep, The Phantom of the Opera is by Gaston Leroux, and came out in 1909. It’s a very interesting book, would definitely recommend if your into gothic novels.

Oh yeah, the 2005 one. That and the 1925 silent film are the only two adaptations I’ve seen of the book, but there’s a lot of them. I like the original book a lot, so I’m not the biggest fan of really any of the adaptations, but the one with Gerard Butler has good music and some nice costumes (the sets are pretty cool too).

Has anyone watched any of The Phantom of the Opera adaptations? I’m curious to see people’s opinions on them…

Jonah is pretty good, it’s also a classic for my family. The Mr. Lunt and Larry commentary on the movie is really funny, if you have the dvd version of Jonah then it’s worth giving it a watch

Good topic, I have a feeling there are going to be some interesting discussions on here. My siblings and I watch movies almost every weekend, so I will probably have a lot to say on here lol.

Cabins sound good (thanks Rae for the idea), but I also have a question. Is there going to be a certain time period that all the characters have to be from, or does it not really matter?

This sounds interesting, I think I’ll join in after school ends. As for fantasy sub-genre, my vote is for Arthurian fantasy (the Prince Valiant comics and Magic Treehouse books are two perfect examples of them)

lol thanks! It would have horror styling kind of? But instead of jumpscares (cause I don’t really like horror movies) it would have shots back to a counter with more dishes including ones that you know you dried and put away…multiple times. All to the music of Come on Eileen 😅
Lol, well it sounds great!
I will! Just wrote it as a not…
