@the_lost-journal Worldbuilding means everything that’s not plot or characters. So the world itself, the creatures and other living things that exist in it, their society, everything.

Neither will I change my profile pic. I’m too attached to Tech.

And here’s another one!

Sniper and his father—at least, his biological father anyway. Who’s admittedly not a good person, and that’s compared to Sniper himself. But he has cool blue scales.
Some facts about them cause that’s always fun:
-Sniper and his dad are the only ones in the entire story universe with that scale marking on their wrists, a…[Read more]

@the_lost-journal Here’s another one of my comic overdraws!

This one’s not as good as my other ones but it works. I kinda like the shading on his tail.

@liberty that sounds cool!

@liberty Weird how it’s saying it didn’t tag me. I got the notification on the first tag.
I might do this story, but I might not, cause it’s kinda hard for me to get an idea fast, especially for such an abstract concept.
Also….I mean…if you read the one I posted for the “story of a scar” challenge, you’ll see how bad I am at making short…[Read more]

That feeling when you’re reading an Answers in Genesis book, and don’t get me wrong, they’re great, but sometimes that writing team NEEDS a couple more editors……
I go through a section and I’m like “Mr. author, you could’ve said that in ten words and it woulda been just as impactful, but you used two whole sentences, and because of that it kind…[Read more]

@rae thanks!
It’s okay Keilah. The other day I called one of my characters something like “my little wolf child” and “baby”.
My older sister looked at me with this blank stare and asked who I was talking about because “Isn’t he the soldier?”
lolllll
I’ve never called one of my charries “baby.” It was honestly a huge stretch to call…[Read more]

Probably both? Like, I want to have a better idea of how it all works (and why it’s magic, if that makes sense. Like Wingfeather has the Stones at the heart of the world.)
But I also do want to have it kinda randomly fantastic. It all started with my twin and I sitting with our feet in a hot tub and deciding the water was heated by…[Read more]

Um, yes?! It was a book before a movie, and the book is awesome.
And thank you. I love the little feathery guys too. Who needs regular street rats if you can have wats and wouses fluttering around.

AHHHHHH! SHE IS HERE?!?!
*Ahem*
Lovely aesthetics. I have never actually read Peter Pan or seen the movie, but I did just finish a rewrite that has definitely spiked my interest.

Hmm. I do have a series with a magic system, but as it’s a series I haven’t started writing yet (just outlining and world building *shudders*) the system isn’t all figured out.
But it’s like Wingfeather or Ella Enchanted (the book) style magic where it’s more a part of the way the world works than the regular book magic (not sure if…[Read more]

Just the fact that one of my protagonists is biracial brings up so many questions that have to be answered so I can sleep at night.
This stuff keeps you up too? XD
And oh. There’s so much. “World-building” is almost a deceivingly simple word. We’re literally making up worlds. This is micro-fictional-creation.

And the fact that A_____’s captor is a bit of an infidel because he has spurned most of the religion for a form of stoicism. His wife is devout though, and it’s sad.
*Is sad with you*

I suppose they are. *Nods sagely*

Oh, and then you’ll have to figure out what the gods represent, and then you’ll have to have a basic mythology, and then there’s the question of how they teach this mythology….
