My brain is just as dry as store bought peanut butter cookies. (Homemade ones aren’t dry enough to describe my brain right now.)
Here it is! Maybe you were looking at a different post.

That last one sounds like my brother. Is Krogen one of your characters? I love him now. Those were hilarious.

I don’t think the spells were created to be real incantations. They’re just Latin. The problem isn’t the spells themselves, but that people are using them for satanic purposes, which makes them real. If that makes sense. My parents are fine with Harry Potter, but there is an official spell book that they forbade. But if you think…[Read more]

I think a lot of people don’t agree with magic, so we’re going to keep those books out of the suggestions and hopefully avoid them so that everyone can read each book.
We should probably define “magic”. Most Christians are ok with Lord of the Rings or Chronicles of Narnia magic, however, the controversy seems to be mostly with books lik…[Read more]

🎵When the sunlight has gone, and the green hills turn gray,
And the day turns to evening somehow,
Then I’m thinking of you, though you’re so far away,
And I’m wanting you close to me now.Oh chocolate chip cookies, so high on the shelf, hiding inside of a jar.
I’m not tall enough, to reach you myself, so near, and yet so very far…🎵-

OH MY GOSH I KNOW THAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We used to get the Philadelphia Chickens book ALL THE TIME from the library and I love that song!!!!!!!-
@savannah_grace2009
I want a cookie! XD We own Philadelphia Chickens and several others. One of my sisters plays them all the time. 😆They are so fun!-
@theducktator
Have you ever listened to the “Blue Moon” book?
It is another one, similar to Philadelphia Chickens!
Is it Philadelphia Chickens that has the Aardvarks do the “intermission” show?? I always loved that part!!-
@savannah_grace2009
Yes! We have Blue Moo, Philadelphia Chickens, and Rhinoceros Tap. The others we get from the library.
Yes! I love the Intermission Show! Every time I go anywhere with an intermission, my siblings and I always sing that! “Technically, we’re not cows. We’re aardvarks!”-
I love those songs sooo much…I played them on YouTube after our conversation and it brings back so many memories!
OH MY GOSH and I love the Speed Turtle one…and the Singing in the Shower one….I love them all!

@savannah_grace2009
For some reason it won’t let me reply to your comment. I memorized Singing in the Shower, and for a while I would sing it every time I showered! One of my sisters still does. And Be Like a Duck is probably my favorite! And Dance it Off, and Personal Penguin, and Ducks in a Row!

I am also fine with most magic, including Harry Potter, though I know a lot of Christians are not. I’m also okay with some swearing, but not a lot. Stormlight Archive has about the maximum amount of swearing that I’m willing to read. As for sexual content, I’ve read To Kill a Mockingbird, (it was amazing), which is about my limit.
Also,…

This looks fun! I love discussing books with people!
One thing I like to do with book clubs is read the same book at the same time, but not the same chapters. That way everyone can read at their own pace. (I always read ahead anyways lol)
Yes. I always read ahead too.😂
I have some ideas on how we’d decide which books to read — I thi…
