Celarent
Celarent had no idea what a field day was, but apparently it meant no school. Even the teacher was in a tree. He sighed. He’d looked forward to this class and it had been canceled in favor of letting a bunch of delinquents run wild. Only an entire month had been spent forging official documents so that he could…[Read more]

CelarentÂ
Celarent glowered at Mateo, stuffing his hands in his pockets to hide their shaking. “Fine.” He could usually keep his mouth shut and convince people to like him, but something about Mateo made him forget every one of his carefully rehearsed rules of human interaction. It was infuriating. Celarent straightened…[Read more]

Ryla
Ryla nodded uncertainly. Falling into something or someone seemed like a foreseeable consequence of walking backwards to her, but neither of them had been hurt so it didn’t matter. “Take two. They’re chocolate chip.” She handed Maverick her bag of cookies. “Do you typically walk backwards?”

You have a good point. I always like it when books flip gender stereotypes without being weird about it. I read a book once where one of the MCs, a knight, enjoyed knitting. He was still a man, he just knit stuff.

*shudders* Yeah, nothing short of a call from God could ever induce me to send my kids to public school. And my kids aren’t going to be allowed to date until they’re 16 either.

The first stories I wrote were for a writing circle I was in when I was very little. I know I wrote an story about a pet bat which was named ‘Bat’, and one called ‘Pontoon Boat Catastrophe’, which I still have, actually. I posted it over a year ago in Sara’s ‘what’s the cringiest thing you’ve ever written forum’.
After…[Read more]

The first stories I remember writing were 2nd grade assignments. In one, this group of ducks, Helen, Joy, Valentine, and Lulu, were at home being babysat by this really cool babysitter (I think her name was Lila, and she was both a police officer and a princess) who was taking them out to go toilet paper people’s houses. I’d just found out that…[Read more]

XD The second one reminds me of a time at co-op when I mentioned I hadn’t liked a book because I couldn’t connect to the characters, and this one guy just looked at me and said “Because they’re fictional.” He must lead a sad life.

Pretty much all the public schoolers have phones and are preoccupied with boys and drama at school
😣 I wish schools didn’t have to be that way. It’s crazy that when I hear of a 12 or 13 year old dating or whatever, I’m not surprised. I don’t agree with it! but it doesn’t shock me. 🙁 I mean, y’all should be enjoying your childhood a…[Read more]
