Kate compressed the Arclash again and infused it into a gemstone again as Ellis and Nora pinned Nahim down.

Ellis panted hard. “Now,” he said. “Somebody get me that rope!”

Nahim kicked Ellis in the leg. Ellis dropped down to one knee but kept hold of Nahim’s arm. He aimed a Conviction-empowered kick at Nahim’s leg, knocking it out from under him. At the same time, Kate pulled on the Arclash, and Nahim stumbled forward.

Seriously, guys, I leave for like, twenty minutes and Nahim is threatening to turn people into Swiss cheese again??

I think they’ve got this… sort of, although I would think Nora would probably get involved if it’s escalated to the level of brandishing guns.

Oops, thought Kate. It seemed she had just made things worse.

Kate pulled on the Arclash, throwing Nahim off balance so he couldn’t shoot anyone. Ellis ran in and grabbed Nahim’s free hand, trying to wrestle the gun away.
