And *takes deep breath* Here’s the short story.
I’m crazy.
I know that.
My mother shakes her head sadly as she closes the door. The dull click of the lock echoes in my head.
They say it’s for my own good. They say that I’m mad, a lunatic, a delusional fantasist. Locking me in here is supposed to protect me.
But I know the truth…[Read more] -

ROGUE ONE!!!!!
I actually just watched it again on Friday. I saw it for the first time in the movie theaters and I wanted to go and hide for the rest of the day when I was done. Coming out of the theater my face was red, my hair was a mess because I’d been pulling it and my eyes were sore from crying. (I am a VERY emotional person; I cry at any…[Read more] -

Hi guys! The story is due in a few days, (the 16th), though I want to turn it in by tomorrow. 😛 Anything I’m missing from this revised draft? (The editors said I should work more on character, so if you see anything that might be able to make it deeper, let me know.) Thanks!

@That_Writer_Girl_99 Late? That wasn’t even a whole day! You’re fine. Besides, we humor our mothers. Especially near Mother’s Day. It’s the least we can do. 😀
And movies are good. XDGreat, I’ll keep praying!

@Northerner @That_Writer_Girl_99 yes… I get excited and then it’s full speed ahead, which is rather inconsiderate of me. 😛 Glad it’s been useful though. 😉

@dragon-snapper *breathes heavy sigh of relief* Oh good, I’m not the only one around here who’s read Treasure Island. 🙂
@that_writer_girl_99 You’re in good hands with these Classic nerds, but can I add one? Pwease? *bats eyelashes prettily* Jane Eyre. Slightly creepy, but still a good book. 😀

@that_writer_girl_99 My family just went through something similar last year (my little sis fractured her arm and foot), so I know exactly how that feels with the activity limitations. I’ll be praying.

Hello again!
So, I’m editing my novel, and originally, it has chapter titles, but I’m wondering whether I should keep them or not. What are you all’s opinions on chapter titles? Can they add, or can they detract?@daeus @graciegirl @northerner @kate-flournoy @winter-rose @ethryndal @that_writer_girl_99 @jane-maree @jess @audrey-caylin @delightinlife

@winter-rose @that_writer_girl_99 well, I just finished my huge outline. It’s taken me about three and a half weeks. I’m kinda scared but excited to start writing tomorrow. 😛
I’m going to go take a break now. Great writing with you!

@Daeus @That_Writer_Girl_99 yeah, the only reason I didn’t say Count of Monte Cristo is because I knew Daeus would. XD
-
Daeus replied to the topic Spring Writing/Reading Goals in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 12 months ago
@that_writer_girl_99 I second A Tale of Two Cities and Les Mis. Also (more than any other classic ever) The Count of Monte Cristo. After that: Ben Hur, The Scarlet Letter, Crime and Punishment, The Ball and the Cross. (Let me know if you want more.)
