There is some shuffling, then more silence.
“Brek, what—?”
The door bursts open.

@ariel-ashira Well, this isn’t really something I think about a whole lot because I tend to have a good grip on my characters so I just always do what feels right for them and it pretty much turns out. I guess though personally, if I had a brother I thought was dead show up alive I would probably rush him and hug him.

@Jenwriter17 pretty much just throwing in all the subplots and more try-fail sequences will fill out your plot a lot more.

@daughteroftheking
Kay would rather relive it.
She refuses to tell me what it was though…Alexandria Evergreen (Alex) would rather talk about it.
Sneaking to the Northern part of Evergreen forest.@sarah-Anson
Kay would sit in the cell with her worst enemy, Alice, and hope she doesn’t go insane. She doesn’t want someone she likes to hate her…[Read more] -

@sarah-Anson I agree with @skredder @gh24682468999 @ariel-Ashira . Interview your character, write him in a different scene, flesh out your character.
But in edition something you could do for fun (though it will probably help) is to make a collage for him. I had to figure out somethings when I made my collages. Also got me excited about my book. 😋 -

@jenwriter17 Yeah, what Kate said is huge. If you have part 2 of my Show Don’t Tell Course, I have a whole lesson on live scenes there, but basically a live scene is the literary version of a camera taking in everything that’s happening in a scene. No time is skipped. An overview is like when someone tells you what happened at their birthday…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 heh… I’ve got the opposite problem. 😛
*scratches head* I would say probably the number one thing that makes my novels so ridiculously long is the crazy amount of time I spend really delving into the layers of chemistry in live scenes. I try to do all live scenes if I possibly can (no summaries, no overviews, no generalizations)…[Read more]

@alia Sure. (I actually volunteer at a horse therapy center too. I muck stalls. A highlight of my week. 🙂 [Yes, I find shoveling manure fun. I like horses])

@rochellaine Top a Civil War revolver? Okay… I have a compound bow. 🙂 (I feel like I’m sounding spoiled or something. 😛 )
@seekjustice I guess that’s how the cookie crumbles. -

@rochellaine Kay is offering death escape classes for the fictional. (Not really, I’m not talented enough o write that.) XP
@alia I am lucky.
@seekjustice Would they like classes. XD -

@seekjustice He is. *beams* (sometimes he’s annoying, but mostly he’s nice. 😉 )
He is the star of a few blog posts, including my latest one about the sword.
He makes up for being my only brother by being extra annoying and extra nice (mostly nice). XP -
