@singforjoy, it’s when you have magic taking place in the real world, or magic is accepted as normal in society. In the case of my writing, it’s mostly the former.

I suppose I should actually contribute to this thread… my favorite quote everrrrr since I stumbled across it a year ago:
Fairytales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.
And close second is ‘If you can’t be brilliant, odd will do.’

Let’s see… It makes sense overall, but I think it would make more sense with some tweaks in grammar and “order.” For example, near the beginning, the “Hey” should be attached to the rest of Rufus’ dialogue, and then followed by the description. Or else the…[Read more]
