*sighs* Gryffindor, hm? Guess I could tolerate that. Not as cool as Slytherin, but still cool…
Anyway. I just started listening to Imagine Dragons, but I really like them. What’s your favorite song? I think mine is Thunder, I can’t resist singing it when it comes on. @ashlyvye

@princessfoo As far as cultural impact goes, I’m not sure Twilight or the Hunger Games series had much to give. They were popular, but empty. More for entertainment purposes than to present food for thought.

Well hello there! It’s nice to meet you @christianna-hellwig
Admittedly, I haven’t much advice to give, because I haven’t “done much”, as you put it in your post. I’m eighteen, but I’m still learning how to do things like finish a draft, create characters, create (and write) a solid theme. I like learning. Makes places like KP all the more…[Read more]

But if you just want to write for fun, you can basically do whatever you want :). And whether you intend to build an audience or not, the best tone to use is yours. Don’t try to be anyone else, like DG said.
I can’t even begin to tell you how important this is @catwing! Don’t forget it. 😉

Elizabeth replied to the topic What's the best book you've read recently? in the forum Book Discussions 7 years ago
I can’t stop thinking about this book I read a few weeks ago.
Scythe, by Neal Shusterman. I’m not gonna give any spoilers plot-wise, but suffice it to say that this book has amazing worldbuilding, the character development is really well done, and the overall concept of the book isn’t at all what I expected it to be–it’s better.

Yep, Slytherin and proud. 😉
Okay, so it sounds like you’ve got all your plot events in order, but what I haven’t heard you mention are the characters. What motivates the characters to go through with this? What are they trying to learn? Have you thought about that at all?

I understood most of the synopsis, but the last half of it was a bit choppy, could you explain it in a bit more detail?
I love your profile picture, by the way–though the Slytherin house symbol would look much better. 😉 @warrenluther04

@clairec I would say the biggest thing for both you and your friend would be to stay in prayer with God throughout the entire process. By spending time with him, you open yourself up to hear his plans, and through that, He can speak. Christian writers who are connected to God are a powerful tool, so remember to pray and read his word. After that,…[Read more]

You know you’re a Kapeefer when all of a sudden you start loving the name Josiah/Daniel/Anna/Daeus /Reagan/Snapper when you used to think nothing of it
@dekreel Aha…
I don’t know if it’s because I’m on staff for if I just unknowingly type Josiah’s name a lot or what, but whenever I type the letter “J” on my phone, Josiah’s name always come u…[Read more]

*shuffles in*
I’ve avoided commenting on any threads about blogging up until now, so you should feel honored, @catwing.
The reason being, I just started my blog, it looks like a four-year-old made it, and it has a grand total of three posts on it. That being said…it’s still mine, and I’m starting to love it, so, a few things.
First off, the…[Read more]

Hey! @jenwriter17
First off, love your blurb. And the collage was really cool.
I’m working with a similar WIP, and although it’s a fantasy novel, not a dystopian sci-fi, there are still a lot of cliche-like elements, but here’s the thing: I’m in the rough draft stage right now, so I don’t care if there’s cliches or not. I don’t care at all.
