@supermonkey42 That’s a cool book. How far are you in it? (I’ve never actually read it, but I know the story pretty well.)

@dekreel Yay! I knew I should keep those lines. *grins* And everyone will wonder who says some of them… Or not.
And so began my career of making peoples scream… 😛@supermonkey42 yes, or be part Cheshire (since you could make your body vanish and then they can’t behead you. Like in Alice in Wonderland)
Yep. Especially when they are rocks. Or…[Read more] -

Part Three
Dealing With Claws… And Others.“No.” The door groaned. “Just no.”
“But we have to get through.” Hannah said. Her hair was now turned into pink petals. “Can’t you open the door to let us out?”
“I am the door! What do I look like? A chair? A wall?” The door squeaked out.
“You look like a jar.” Nice Ca…[Read more] -

@supermonkey42 YES. I hate it when people act like logic is inherently evil. Well put 🙂
Also, @inkling-for-christ The scene you shared sounds cool 🙂 I would have never thought to make the opening scene start with characters other than the POV. It has an interesting feel to it. -

This is an awesome idea! For some reason it seems like breaking-cliche for the writers to be the ones that are shunned and looked down on.
Sam has a point about how we technically could call dreaming irrational, since ration is logic, and dreaming is most usually not logic. But I defend dreaming with everything I’ve got.…[Read more]

@supermonkey42 Light, electricity, and magnetism is a cool idea. 😀
@warrioroftherealm There’s also things like basing your elements on the real periodic table, which would make things a lot more limited. ( Power over, say, gold alone would create some really interesting circumstances for someone to use that power, versus power over all earth…[Read more]

Thanks guys! But I feel like I forgot to explain some things. Sorry. (Oh, the problems of explaining…)
One of the reasons they need the dragons for basically the whole story is that the barriers between the countries can ONLY be traversed by dragons. This is important because the rigid separation between the countries is integral to the…[Read more]

Rochellaine replied to the topic May I say "Hello"? in the forum Start HERE 6 years, 10 months ago
Oh, and @supermonkey42, the historical fiction/sci-fi/fantasy idea could work, if you think about the fact that in the 40s were some of the first recorded “alien sightings” which everyone believes probably meant top-secret Japanese or US technology. That could be an interesting premise if done right. It has been used to a small extent in a c…[Read more]

@dekreel I like TOS for its really well written and acted banter between the main cast members, but the true favorite of myself and my brother is Voyager. However, my favorite character is actually Worf, from TNG and DS9. So, I guess I like a little from every series.
@supermonkey42 I like the 1910s for the books, the 40s for the drama movies a…[Read more]

Aksel tread the woods lightly in his camouflage suit, careful not to snap any twigs, thus alerting the sublime buck he loosely followed. He could feel his arm slowly drooping under the weight of his gun, so he calmly crouched down and inside of a nearby bush. He inhaled the still air. Clean air. Exhale. The silence…[Read more] -

@supermonkey42 I did see those, but it didn’t really register to me that those were THE texts. Now that I think of it, though, they had to be. Which is kind of disappointing. I was thinking they had been destroyed and the Jedi Order was being left behind…And yeah, it does undermine Yoda’s words.
