@kate-flournoy Well, you’re very knowledgeable on the subject. *uses the force* she is the Chosen One… Seriously, though. You are great at explaining things!

Okay guys… interrupting with a piece of art. 😉
@Aysia-Serene @I-J-Anderson remember my character Taren you did sketches of a while back? I tried her again today and got this. I’m not totally happy with it, but I figured I’d share it just the same. 😉

@Dragon-Snapper *freaks out* I wouldn’t know where to start! 😛 Besides… writing a book about it isn’t the same as helping individual people through it. And recently I discovered something about myself— I really like coaching people. Like, really like it. I like watching them grow and seeing things click and then stepping back and watching…[Read more]

@feedingmygoldfish I do both classical and contemporary, but the classical isn’t as fancy as some people might do it. I can play a melody very easily, but if it has some accompaniment, it may take a bit longer for my fingers to figure it out.

@kate-flournoy Sometimes, I think that you should write a book on writing books.

@Daeus DO IT. I may hate salespeople and be horrified of selling things myself but for this… I’d do it.
@That_Writer_Girl_99 I’ll explain character arcs this evening. For now I have to run. 😉

For scene 1, both your action and reaction sequence sound like part of the same action sequence–at least in summary. How does Natalia react to this event? Does she just forget about it in her disdain, or does she think at all about the event?
And then how would you say scene 2 relates to your story’s theme?
Ah–got ya.…[Read more]

@that_writer_girl_99 Black arrows. Gotta watch out for those. If you get hit by one, you lose a scale. As far as I can tell, I haven’t been hit by one. Oh, and bees. If you get stung by a bee.
@ethryndal *smart-dragon grin* Of course. I can write things, and Smaug only sleeps all the time.

@That_Writer_Girl_99 okay so first of all, I read through the posts that I did last night and realized my brain must have been working on a low battery because they were very scattered, so thank you for sticking with me. 😛
How much do you know about character arcs?
And while I wait for you to answer that question, we can have a little talk…[Read more]

@FeedingMyGoldfish Hey, thanks! I’ll take a look. I’ve looked up how to sound fiddly so many times…I’m self taught so most of my info comes from where I can find it online. But nothing I’ve read about fiddling has stuck well. I want to be able to play like a violinist and a fiddler. 😛
Specifically Irish is good. I like Irish/British style…[Read more] -

@FeedingMyGoldfish Oramentation, aka grace notes. Right? Some of them at least. Those things are so fun, for violin and voice.
And you used to FIDDLE? *gasp* Please, tell me how I can make my violin sound fiddly! -

@That_Writer_Girl_99 I’ll be praying for you too.
@Ethryndal Link to song…on page 21…pay attention. XD
Thanks for the prayers and congratulations everyone. Kate did awesomely, and so many people came and said afterwards, “She was singing with so much VIGOR!” 😀

@feedingmygoldfish Ah…it’s quite complicated actually. I did some minor singing for a children’s group when I was a lot younger, then for a while I didn’t do much singing. Now, I only sing with guitar. However, I have no training, and I don’t do it regularly either. But there’s a problem when I sing as a dragon. I tend to melt stuff. 😛

@FeedingMyGoldfish nice! That’s great that your mom could teach you. My mom taught me piano and basically began my musical ‘career’. 😉
I don’t see why it wouldn’t be called ornamentation. What do you primarily like to sing?
I have preferences, but if I’m honest I’ll pretty much sing anything that has the faintest suggestion of a good tune, with…[Read more] - Load More
