@notawriter @dekreel @jenwriter17 @gabbyj
So…I sorta disappeared for the weekend, but I’m back!!!
I have 3 characters; here are their descriptions:
Jaclyn Fallows—the MC for my fantasy novella. 15 years old, has caramel hair that goes to the middle of her back, gray-blue eyes, a few freckles, and probably a mischievous smile/smirk. She i…[Read more]

Glad it helps!
And yeah, obviously, you don’t want to spoil your story before you publish it. You don’t want to give everything away. Just give little teasers, and of course, talk about your process of creating your novel, because that doesn’t give anything away, but increases interest.
One thing you might want to do is look at what other…[Read more]

@daughteroftheking Aren’t all writers secretly time travelers? 😉
@christi-eaton Thanks! (Also, side-note, I’m finally “officially” joining you in the theater department- I’m playing Mother Gothel in a brief comedy sketch with some friends for a 4-H competition 😀 )
@aratrea *grins* I’m glad you liked it! And change definitely gives a new…[Read more]

@corissa-maiden-of-praise Aww; thanks. 🙂 I appreciate it a lot. You all are the bestisest people on the bestisest place on the internet. That Ecclesiastes passage is a very relevant passage for me during this time!
@daughteroftheking Yeah; I’ll still be around the forum (especially when tagged), but there’s going to be some new people taking on…[Read more]

@daughteroftheking Thanks!
Also, maybe I should clarify that he’s not leaving leaving… mainly he’s stepping down from editor-in-chief; he’ll still be on the forum sometimes. There’s a post about it on the main KP website. 😉

The sad departure of our editor-in-chief, @aratrea, inspired me to write a poem to commemorate our time with him and our hopes for his future.
Dubbed the “wiser” of our group,
A frog upon his head,
He led us into worlds unknown,
As he blazed the trail ahead.He blessed us with his stories,
He lent a helping hand,
He helped us grow, he helped us…[Read more] -

@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise Hey Brianna, thank you for the card with the cute stickers and things you sent! That was a pleasant surprise. And the card’s SO pretty. Sheet music and flowers—lovely combo. 😉
I’m definitely looking forward to Spring as well. Especially all the growing stuff, and the just-right weather.
Thanks so much. 😀-
*grins* Glad you got it! Spring is definitely a wonderful time of year. Anne of Lothlorien actually started Operation Winter Cheer, so she’s partly to “blame” as well. 😉

Then I thank you as well, Morgan. 😉

@reaganramm Wow! Thanks so much! This is infinitely helpful! I was wondering about this because I read an article about someone who said never to talk about your novel before publishing it because it would make the book jaded whenever it came out, but now I think that article was probably wrong. XD 😛
Well, I knew I wanted to publish before I go…[Read more]

Great question, @dragon-snapper
We’ll shoot a video on this, but I can give a quick answer here.
In short, definitely!
First of all, why is your timetable so long? Why not publish this year?
Second, I think it’s a great idea to talk about your novel. In fact, the more the better!
Did Disney keep it a secret when they were planning The Force…[Read more]
