Me like. Me like lots.
Same! My favorite is Krenna. It’s really cool how she can split her consciousness!

@anyone
I would like to revive this forum. Something that I have wondered about for a while now has to do with the necessity of the holly ghost in the trinity. I myself am non-trinitarian, but I was curious on what any of y’alls thoughts were on it if you have any.

Sorry, I haven’t been on for a while, allow me to quickly express my thoughts here and there form when I’ve last been here.
I would be open to extended elements, but I worry that it would be more cliche than just the four Greek elements. I at one point had a draft for a lightning element, but I couldn’t think of anything interesting to d…

Summer 1884
I wished Mama would let me drop out of school, even though I was only fourteen. Since all the crops were planted, we returned to school, but this time Albert and Abe stayed behind. The first day we went back, George dragged his feet.
“Come on, George!” I turned around and walked bac…[Read more]

Haha, you’re fine! Let your imagination take you wherever you want, maybe it’ll produce more ideas I could end up using at some point lol.

Kari glanced down at the notebook in her hand and the increasing shadows outside. The sun was setting, and this was nothing like what she had planned for her evening. If she didn’t leave soon, it would be dark, and she didn’t want to be alone in this house…[Read more]

I love the story! I agree with @hybridlore that it wasn’t too summary-y but it would be nice to see how the interaction with Lillian Sara and Jennie went.
I love the dancing scene! I love Libbie and Albert, they’re so cute together! (It’s fine if that’s not what you’re going for but I just like “shipping” people in my stories and…[Read more]

She sighed with relief as Lane looked away from her scars and turned his attention to the girl in the doorway. But she knew it was only a matter of time before they would get brought up.
“Oh, no, it’s not my statue, or my house even…” the bewildered girl…[Read more]

Hmm, so my worldbuilding is pretty solid, and very real for me, because I literally have places based off of real things. For example, I have an underground trade city in the Nevari Desert that is directly based off of Derinkuyu, Cappadocia. I have a whole tribe that has ties to the Basotho, geographically, and culturally, and I…

“Do not worry,” Amir turned his warm eyes to the trembling boy. “She only shoots deer. Lucky for you.” Lane nodded.
“It’s not my statue,” Ottoline scoffed, rolling her eyes. “I couldn’t care less if you broke it or not.” Lane sighed with relief, brushing the hair out of his eyes.
“Just do not scare her, or she might…[Read more]

She stepped inside the building, and stopped dead in her tracks.
“What is this place?” she asked in awe. Brightly colored streamers fluttered from the ceiling, multicolored lights lit up the room, and the stone floor shone. A strange kind of music filled the room. She…[Read more]

I think someone mentioned this already earlier, but C.S. Lewis did a fantastic job using Aslan to represent God. Okay, the whole way he created Narnia and all the characters in those stories just blows my mind sometimes, but I love how Lewis chose a lion to represent God in the stories. Watching Aslan interact with the characters…[Read more]

I would love to tour Europe sometime! I’ve seen a little bit of England when I went with my parents to visit some missionaries in Wales a couple years back, but my ancestors are from Switzerland so it would be fun to go there. And I took French so I’d love to go to France, too.

I totally understand your concern.
I’d say that in the first chapter that’s in his POV, showcase his positive character traits, but also give us a glimpse into his internal conflict so we see that he isn’t as perfect as he seems on the outside. Slowly revealing his backstory like you said you’d do will also help readers start t…[Read more]

I’m sure it was terrifying, but the way you described it was amazing
I have never been stung by a bee, and I never plan to
My brother actually worked with bees… but I already decided I never will
