Welcome to KP! I’m Janessa, aka Trailblazer, and I’ve been hanging around here for about a month now! It’s so fun to see new people joining! I write a lot of contemporary and historical fiction, but I’ve done some mysteries as well, and I also enjoy journalism. I like hiking, photography, and mountains.

A couple questions for…[Read more]

What type of fantasy do i write? I write traditional, A mix of it and sci-fi, as well as modern-level tech set in my fantasy world/sci-fi universe.

Magic systems? Soft magic. I like a mysterious bubble, if you will, around how it all works. You hear statements like “the song magic of the elves” and “Battle of power” but since I’m not…[Read more]

i first started writing a short story about a meerkat who I forget the name of. When I say short, I mean short short short story. it was awful, I now realize, but to a kid of probably six, it was the best. I didn’t daydream about publishing anything until years later when I was writing a historical fiction (now dumped, it wasn’t…[Read more]

That means so much to me…bc Leon is so hard to write sometimes 😅 I struggle writing him more than Riker bc I can relate to Riker’s struggles more than Leon’s, y’know?

I’m glad, and I can totally get that

But you’re doing great right now

Idk girl…she might be right 😂😂

Yeah she is, I’m just not sure how to do it… *stares o…[Read more]

Do you happen to do Classical Conversations? i take Exposition (persuasive essays), latin, Math, American documents, formal debate, logic, and science. Science is okay, but the chapters are like soooo long and I’m not a science geek so, if you ask me what I just read about, I’m not going to give you a rundown. In other words, I wasn’t…[Read more]

Yeah… If I’m being perfectly honest, sometimes I casually aim at the boys I like… XD FAVORITISM!!!

Haha, that’s a good strategy, lol

@euodia-vision

Ooh I’ll probably participate, it looks like a lot of fun

@freedomwriter76

I love that everyone else is talking about Riker but you’re over here like: “NOOO, LEON!!!”

Honestly one of my favorite tropes is someone mourning a spouse or sibling

It breaks my heart, but I love to see how people write it, and so far I like where you’ve taken his arc, showing the anger that came with her death but also showi…[Read more]

Leon!!!!! The poor boy

One of these times us writers should try writing a story about everything that’s happy

@fernweh_grace

Okay, I thought so!! And that’s awesome!!!

Yes, I know. I figure I’ll give out my email a few weeks before I do leave. I already have some random emails from my mentee, fellow chess players, my accountability partner, etc., but I plan on keeping in contact with some others as well. (:

My favorite part is probably adding all of…[Read more]

Oh, actually, I might know you! Didn’t you draw that awesome map of Aerwiar and all that and put it on the Wingfeather PM??

I’m Ava Murbarger on YDubs!! Also I’m in Amber!!! I’m the same way in the competitions lol, but I might actually be leaving YDubs in May… Still a long ways away, but it goes by fast.

I’m starting to draw…[Read more]

Hi Rae! I’m the Arcane Axiom, I love math (yes I know), finding divine fundamental truth, and exploring that in my writing. I read/write sci-fi/fantasy, and my current project is a universe I’m working on with my sister called the Septrum.

Questions!

Do you lean towards hard or soft worldbuilding? (hard meaning concrete rules for the reader to…[Read more]

Hi! I’m Acancello, also known as Allison! I’m homeschooled and  I love guinea pigs, dogs, traveling, acting, trying weird food, writing, reading, talking and a lot more 😁! I write Dystopian and post-apocalyptic books. I’m so glad you could come to Kingdom Pen!

A really weird fact about me is that dogs don’t seem to like my blue eyes.

Welcome to KP! I’m Janessa, aka Trailblazer, and I write a lot of contemporary fiction, historical fiction, a little bit of mystery, and some journalism. I love the idea of writing about your great-grandfather; I’ve thought of doing the same thing, but never had quite the right inspiration for it. Aside from writing, I love reading, hiking,…[Read more]
