Okay so that title is a touch clickbait-y but also mostly true. The Reflections is a YA Christian Dystopian releasing April 8th. Advanced Reader Copy signups are available here. I only have 10 copies to send out because of my budget, but if you have 300 or more followers on any social platform, you might be able to get a cop…[Read more]

I really enjoy the Royal Tutor series. It’s kinda an alternate history manga series in which the kingdom, Granzireich, is based on the Austro-Hungarian empire, somewhere in the 1800’s. It’s about how Heine, the new Royal Tutor, has to teach the four youngest princes to be candidates to the throne. It’s a really fun series and one…[Read more]

@sparrowhawke Oh, if you’re 18, I’m sure it’ll be fine. I read Monster when I was fifteen. It’s not too gory, and the most sexual stuff is all implied, nothing really explicit on screen. There’s a lot of murder (crime genre for a lot of it) and a lot of very heavy themes, but it’s all very good, so I highly recommend.

@sparrowhawke Ah, ’tis my time to shine.
I’ve read so much manga in the last few years I’m not sure if I should be ashamed or not. At this point I’ve been desensitised to most things so I’m going to watch myself when recommending stuff.
When people ask for reccs usually the first one I recommend is Fullmetal Alchemist! It’s absolutely perfect,…[Read more]

Kathleen replied to the topic What’s an unexpected place you got a story idea from? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years ago
Haha, well, it doesn’t really have to be exciting to be unexpected.
Like the amount of times I’ve gotten story ideas out of an unexpected look, laugh, or hello is absurd.
Have you ever gotten an idea for a certain trait for a character from a person you know?
That’s cool. Now you’ll have to credit Evanescence as a co-writer…[Read more]

Haha, yeah, I can relate. But the stranger the story the more fun it is to write right?
Do you have a favorite of all the strange stories you’ve written?
That does sound like an really strange, but interesting book, haha.
My siblings and I often joke about certain things we have, do, or say that could be taken way out…[Read more]

Yes, I totally agree with you on Motel of the Mysteries; it was hysterical! I haven’t read all the way through it yet, but I plan on it someday.
I think that honor would have to go to What We Found In The Sofa and How It Saved The World by Henry Clark. I have only one word to describe that book: bizarre. Like,…[Read more]

@sparrowhawke That actually sounds cool–and funny!
@devastate-lasting My dad read Fahrenheit 451 once. I haven’t read it, though. I didn’t think it’d be that interesting.

Kathleen replied to the topic How would you rewrite your least favorite book? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 2 months ago
Oof. I know what that’s like. It’s so rare for a series to be good the whole way through.
That sounds like a really interesting series! But yeah, I get what you mean by it getting tricky with Christian Theology and stuff. Like you don’t want people to have the wrong idea of the biblical characters in the story, but…[Read more]

@sparrowhawke cool cool! I’m gonna post my first history post this week, actually.
Ah! Thanks! Good point, I am not so good with such things, so thank you for pointing it out. I’ll remember that.

@sparrowhawke (tagging people as I think of them) I saw you like ancient history, and base your cultures off them, that makes two of us!!!

@sparrowhawke hello, I know I’m late, but may I say good job and that is incredible expression of a pain that is familiar to me.
the first title ideas that come to mind is “To say what I think” “How to say…” “Maybe I’ll say” maybe those are terrible but i wanted to put them there 🙂

@sparrowhawke Ah, yes, ATLA and the animal-mashing. (TURTLEDUCKSSS) Oh, cool! Those are some good tips, I’ll definitely keep that in mind. 🙂
YOOOO that’s seriously so cool. I’m very interested in the celestials, I absolutely LOVE seraph-esque creatures. Tell me more about them? 😀 And what’s the aether element all about? I’m super interested in…[Read more]

This is difficult territory you tread… but if you were to jump in
and honestly I wouldn’t judge you jfoaewuiar;sdf yeI would suggest starting season one up until like, episode four, then jumping to the beginning of season three(imma rule breaker, I feel so dirty now). Season one and two were all over the place, season three was…[Read more] -

This poem makes me think of a particular person in my life. Our relationship has been really complicated and recently some terrible things have happened causing me to only be able to have shallow conversations with them despite me knowing them my entire life. I have so many things I desperately want to ask them and tell them, but…[Read more]

Favorite time period? Hmmm… Probably the ancient time period. I definitely would never want to live in that time, but there are so many cool things to learn (and steal for writing purposes) from.
What’s something from history that’s given you a memorable story idea?
Well, I guess I usually come off as pretty quite, introverted,…[Read more]
