I would say Christian Fantasy YA. The classification system nowadays is not really about content and mostly about the age of the protagonist, as MANY YA books now have graphic violence, extreme language, and sexual content but are still classified as YA because the main character is a teen or young adult. Some libraries also have…[Read more]

Sounds good! Yes, I think I get what you’re saying about Divine Election, but I don’t really know how it would change evangelism for me. Either way, God wants us to share Him with others. Ultimately, He knows who is going to accept that gift or not, but that doesn’t change the way we should approach it, right?
I’m also pretty…

Totally gotcha. Sometimes it’s just good to get all your thoughts on a scene down, even if they don’t all end up in the final draft.
Sure. Hopefully you got what I meant, since this is kind of a controversial topic in Christian writing circles. In the end, it’s really up to the author who knows what’s best for their story h…[Read more]

Awww! Really sweet scene. So… could I get some more backstory here? 😅 Aaron died because he was a Christian and didn’t give into the government, but the reason everyone else is still alive is because the gov doesn’t know they’re believers? And if Noah was tortured once for his faith, how did he escape?
I know this kind of thin…[Read more]

@jonas I would love a link to the doc! And also, I don’t care. We can probably reach the city with just one more RP, so feel free to add them in whenever.

@jonas I think we’re between the city and forest, so either one lol. @whalekeeper @loopylin
Sara —> Edge of Elderstrand
“Well, then,” the man said. “Should we try the city? I have a feeling that’s where we’ll best find answers.”
Sara looked toward the deserted, ominous-looking city and bit her lip. “I guess so.”
As the four of them left the fo…[Read more]

Sara —> Edge of Elderstrand
“But you can just call me Ellis.” The young man patted the sword at his side. Ellis—a lavender name that carried the scent of violets.
“I’m Sara.” She looked to the other girl and the boy who hadn’t introduced themselves yet.

I think it makes sense? lol. Yeah, I get what you mean. If that’s the case, harp—which is similar to piano, in my understanding—could have the potential to have many voices but a lot of times is used to play chords (at least, with the left hand.) Same with guitar. Violin, two strings aren’t normally played but it isn’t uncommon. Lots of t…[Read more]

I’m finally getting back into a schedule!! And, I’ve started working more on writing. I have a WIP series now too, which makes me so excited!! This will be my first serious-going-to-be-published book. At least, if that’s God’s will.
That’s so exciting!! That would be amazing!!
By the way, how does RP work? How do write a story that way?

Where is the line between a chord and just playing more than one note at a time? How does this change the Strings?
-
hybridlore replied to the topic Fantasy Adventure RP in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year, 10 months ago
Yeah, three strings would be interesting. I think violin is a good option, but something similar to a guitar or small harp would be even better.
