Jenna Terese started the topic Alpha/Beta Readers for My Dystopian WIP in the forum Novel Critique Requests 6 years, 8 months ago
Hi, all! As some of you know, I’ve been working on a dystopian book. I haven’t figured out yet if I want to wait for the first draft to be done to look for alpha readers, or edit before beta readers, or have alpha readers for each chapter as I’m writing it.
But I was wondering if anyone would read my first chapter for me and tell me what you…[Read more]

@notawriter no problem! 😉
Chapter eight reminded me of the Bible verse that says (not sure if I’m getting this exactly right) “when the wicked rule the people groan, but when the righteous rule the people rejoice.”
@rochellaine @skredder @kaya-young @ariella-newheart @jane-maree @seekjustice @everyone

@rochellaine Yes, I suppose not…
@gh24682468999 I just made up a language of gibberish 😉
@ingridrd Thanks! Yes, I remembered…
@supermonkey42 Thank you! I think I can say the same of other KP literature as well, actually.
@skredder At least Rochellaine spared him! Even though, apparently, that’s a little impl…[Read more]

Another one of my favorite parts. For good reason. Mwehehehhh…
The GIF-Hiders: An Easter Story
Part Nine: Disbelief
“Halt!!” barked another new voice. “Halt in the name of the law!”
Jenna pulled her palms from her eyes, and peeked at the troll, who, much to her relief, hadn’t squashed Valentine. His foot was in mid air, and Valentine…[Read more]

@skredder, that is one of the examples proving that cats are evil…

@daughteroftheking Kay says, “I’ll keep my memories thank you very much. I don’t want to lose them. Want to go jump off something? Like the Eiffel Tower? That’s a great memory.” She’s pretty cool without powers. 😀
@skredder Kay would dress as someone else. that’s basically what she does. Pretends to be someone else. Speeches… She would rather…[Read more] -

@skredder Hmm… Katie would rather do the costume contest, because she wouldn’t want to have to say anything. 😛 And Caroline… would rather run away. 😉 If she absolutely had to choose, she would give a speech.
Would your character rather be famous, or do something incredible that they should be recognized for but never are?
Both of mine…[Read more]

The GIF-Hiders: An Easter Story
Part Eight: Up a Tree
Having just hidden a Star Trek GIF, Skredder suddenly lifted her head. “Earthquake,” she simply said.
Everyone looked at her. “What?” said Valentine.
“Earthquake! An earthquake’s coming!” Skredder repeated.
“She’s right! I feel it, too!” called Catwing from a tree branch.
“But earth…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 I was wondering about that too… I’ve always thought that she was scared, but maybe it was deliberate?
@skredder Noticed something cool: the city rejoiced at that- which reminded me of earlier in the chapter where the city was perplexed. It’s cool that the reactions of the city were recorded. 🙂

Since my mom is lactose intolerant, we drink goat milk all the time. Also A-2 milk more recently. I actually prefer goat milk to cow milk…I’m weird like that. 😛
By the way, @dekreel , amazing job! *thumbs up*

first off, I love it when fandoms over take topics. (yes auto correct, fandoms is a word…)
@perfectfifths, let’s see,
Mira would rather be on the brute squad, and she would gag at all three of the other ones.
Delmira (I just realized how similar their names are, good thing their in different books) would be the brute squad, and change the…[Read more]

@perfectfifths Kay would be on the brute squad. Team efforts can be fun. 🙂
@rochellaine Kay would burst out laughing in a serious meeting right when they are saying the mot boring part.
