I just read the descriptions to my brother, who is a bit of a tea connoisseur, and he enjoyed them too 😀 Truly, Australian tea is boring.
I have no idea what that last one is even trying to say. Whoever wrote that certainly has no qualms about using adverbs.
Also, I’m just imagining you sitting there, surrounded by boxes of tea, typing…[Read more]

Australians obviously have much less interesting tea descriptions:
Our tea artisans masterfully select and craft Madura teas to achieve consistency, cup after cup, resulting in a superior taste, time after time.Â
How boring is that?
But seriously, if you just rewrote that first description a little, it sounds like a really bad romance…[Read more]

I’ve never come across green tea that smells like grapes. However it does sound interesting (and it sounds like it could be a heroine in a romance novel too, from that description).

Hehe, no 😀
Ooh, I like green tea very much. What makes this green tea particularly special?

Well, you know the Christmas child shoeboxes? I’m packing some of those today but I have to start by putting them together, as they came to me flatpacked.

Oh. Well. At least I have a reputation. I usually say “my friend Anisa” and they go “which one is that?” “the one from Maryland…you know, Uncle Bill.”
No, she feels quite sorry for him. After all, we concluded that Kendall had it worse than Zac, because Zac only gets blamed for the things he has done, which is a quite a lot,…[Read more]

Okay then 🙂
What did your sister think of Kendall? Coincidentally, I was also explaining to my sister how everything was Kendall’s fault.

@Rochellaine It is. Anyhow, I wish to speak of happier things 😀
But everything is Kendall’s fault 😛
Have fun on your trip 🙂
I enjoy using Scrivener a lot. I still use Word for writing first drafts, but I found Scrivener really useful when I did the last round of edits on SFI. I haven’t fully got the hang of it yet, but…[Read more]

Good plan. I would be better off never knowing of its existence.
Its mostly a romance between Gladys and a half-Chinese half-Dutch (and yet so thoroughly white and American) colonel, Gladys with bobbed blonde hair (rather than long and black) and about two Asian actors. Its 1958, I believe, and no wonder she hated it.
I love your…[Read more]

Hello! I’d like to have a word war with you soon!
Have you seen the movie The Inn of the Sixth Happiness? I just finished reading a book about Gladys Aylward, who’s one of my very favourite missionaries and it mentioned an old movie about her, which I looked up. I’ve watched about five minutes and I’m already horrified.

😛 I do things like that all the time. Sometimes, if I’m actually talking, I’ll just say a word, which may or may not have anything to do with it 😀

Ah yes. I remember it now. Goodnight!

Anything to keep you going on Daughter of Judas 😛
I believe I have read the synopsis before, or you’ve at least told me about it.

I got 267, which is pretty much my normal count for 5 min. How did you go?

SeekJustice replied to the topic Writers' Corner #21 in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 1 month ago
Certainly 😀 Shall I put on my timer?

Yes. I usually do retellings of things I like quite a lot. And usually, it’s not so much that I think I have a better way of doing it, but just that I have a different way, which I’d like to explore.
No, I don’t think you should be. 😀 I also fail to see how Lancelot and Guinevere are romantic and not just plain selfish/stupid.

I will more than happily word war with you, if you’d like that.

Well, I’d be happy to let you read it before then.
Oh yes. that’s because I’m a brilliant writer and often read things and think “I could do so much better than this”. 😛
But yeah, I do a lot of retellings. I think I enjoy the challenge of taking something that people are familiar with and changing it. It’s kind of fun. 😛
Well, I…[Read more]
