I feel like I have done something similar to this before.
Not surprised
not sure where we’re going with this
Me neither. Do you mind if I make up some crazy fairy shenanigans?

I’ve noticed they call parts of the community the “Sanctuary” and the “Outer Court”
That’s weird. It almost sounds like they want your writing to be an idol.

I’ve never heard of them, but what kind of statement of faith is that? If you don’t want to write a whole thing, just state you’re aligned with the creeds and that should cover it.
The lie thing doesn’t bother me so much since they’ve corrected it. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that they really expected 1000+…[Read more]

@rae
I’m not part of SSC so I can’t comment on this very much. I’ve looked at the website and there isn’t a whole lot of information – I can’t access their statement of faith or the community guidelines. It seems like you have to be in it to really know about it.
I will say that I don’t support people who heavily use AI, and I do prefer…[Read more] -

If you aren’t aware, there’s a rather new Christian Writing Community called Story Stewards. I joined when they had their Jesus Writing Month, and while I didn’t participate in that much, I didn’t see any harm in joining their main community that was coming out.
As I’ve gotten to know it better, there are a few things that bother me personally.…[Read more]

Mel
“Oh. Yeah, they do.” Impulsively, Mel leaned forward to smell one of the larger roses. As she got close, its petals suddenly closed and it pulled back, disappearing in the leaves. Mel yelped in surprise and fell back. Thorns snagged her clothes and hair from behind and she struggled for a…[Read more]

It reminded her of a time she found dried chocolate on her mother’s doilies and licked it off. It turned out to be candle wax.
I feel like I have done something m similar to this before.

Thanks for the ideas guys! I like it when I ask a question and people are inspired enough to ramble. (Min, your extended ramble about that weapons collector is so specific and energetic that I should probably include it somewhere.) XD

I do not plan to return her right away, so Gabriel’s gonna have to cope. If he knows how. It’ll probably involve killing things.

Gabriel Mai
Gabriel didn’t stand up until Soldier’s return. The visible parts of his skin was turning splotchy, but he didn’t seem concerned. He nodded to Soldier, but didn’t speak.

Lucille
“I like roses but they’re better without the sharp parts.” Lucy pulled a loose rose off the wall and pinched off all the thorns she could find. She handed it to Mel. “We have hydrangeas and chocolate lace in our courtyard.”
She muttered the name chocolate lace to herself. It reminded her of a time she found dried chocola…[Read more]

Melissa
Mel considered this. “Hm… no. She was just kinda weird.”
She skipped ahead, twirling in circles as she admired the roses and plants around her. “It’s so pretty here, isn’t it? A good place to get lost.”
The path continued in a straight line, seemingly endlessly. As they walked, it gradually got narrower and narrower, and…[Read more]
