@bluejay Would it be indoors or outdoors? I know two games that raise money, but they don’t have a thing to do with blindness. You know the type of game where you try to throw a small object either into a basket or through a small hole in a board or to knock something down? You could charge 25 or 50 cents per toss. The other game is quite a bit…[Read more]

Oh, @bluejay, it’s called Wild Australia. Are there any videos/documentaries/etc. on Australia you would recommend?

@clairec I’m sorry I’m so late; I was on a camping trip. Wow! Thank you for writing this! It sounds like some of the animals are pretty friendly; that’s so neat! I’m glad you left that town before the bush fire came. That sounds scary. Does Tasmania look any different from Victoria? I always imagined it as greener than the mainland, but I’ve never…[Read more]

@Anna-Brie So does one of my brothers! (I would go with him, of course. 🙂 ) He really likes marine biology, and he wants to build the first aquarium with a live sea dinosaur exhibit.

@emma-flournoy I’m sorry for the lengthy silence; I was on a camping trip. (Yes, it was cold. 🙂 ) I remember the forum rules said we shouldn’t debate politics, and Trump is dreadfully controversial. I just wanted Anna to understand why I am so glad he won instead of Hillary. If I offended any Americans in the process, I didn’t mean to. I do have…[Read more]

Okay! I am very sorry that this is so belated. I’d written it in a document and forgot to post it. @sarah-h (and @bluejay), here we go! *takes a big breath and lets it out slowly*
We have seals and sea lions. (look them up, they’re actually pretty cute!) Living in Queensland, I have been to the Great Barrier Reef multiple times. Snorkeling there…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy How cute! That’s so funny.
You’re right! They would probably classify it with the triceratops. 🙂
Have you heard of the pterodactyls in Indonesia? They glow in the dark, and people are very superstitious about them. It’s so strange that a creature can be alive and well in one part of the world, and yet in civilized lands people…[Read more]

@the-bean That’s very interesting. So different from our system. It’s neat that you actually have Christian parties. Here, many Christians are Republican, but I don’t know if the Republican party itself is Christian.
@anna-brie Uhoh, you have the marriage issue over there, too? It’s scary here. If you’re in business, you literally have to…[Read more]

@kate-flournoy That’s neat! How small were they? Were they able to fly? I always thought the treasure hoarding was weird- why would an animal want money? But that makes sense. I wonder if there are any still alive? There are dinosaurs (or dragons, if you prefer), still alive in other parts of the world.

@warrioroftherealm Oh, I hope I get to read it some day! The Peleg Chronicles are the only books I’ve found that have that kind of dragon in them, and I’d like to read more books like that.

@warrioroftherealm I read the Pathfinder when I was 10 or 11. The story was great, but I hated the ending. I cried. I liked the pathfinder, and I was so mad at- was her name Megan?- for marrying Jacques instead. Now that I’m eighteen, I would probably be much more understanding, come to think of it. 🙂

@clairec Summer rain…that sounds wonderful. Here, it’s late fall and starting to get cold. “Vintage literary” does sound cool, but I’m not exactly sure what it means. Old books? Classics? Wait, are you seventeen now? Happy birthday!!!!! 🙂

Yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY @clairec 🙂

Christian, first of all. I have strong political convictions, and at the same time I’m not really into politics.
Anti-federalist – me too! History books say they were impractical, but I don’t care. Conservative Republican. I like the Tea Party people. What is Libertarian? It sounds like “liberal”, but it can’t be. Ummm, what else? I liked Ted…[Read more] -

@kate-flournoy Oh yes, most dragon legends come from dinosaurs. It’s fun to research that. Have you watched Dinosaurs and the Bible by Dr. Kent Hovind? If you haven’t, it’s very interesting. Dragons like the ones in Beowulf or St. George and the Dragon are very obviously dinosaurs. However, the creatures with magical powers, telepathic power…[Read more]

@clairec Hi from America! I hope you are doing well. 🙂

Hi @sarah-h! I’ll tag @bluejay too, so she can see some of my news. I am doing well. Summer is now in full swing in Queensland. average lows temperatures of mid 30s (Celsius. in Fahrenheit, that’s high 80s) and a bit more rain than usual. Hanging out for the end of the school year. You lucky things don’t have that anymore. I discovered I can’t…[Read more]

Yeah, I’m sorry this was so long… 🙁 Vintage library, @sarah-h, basically, it was a dinner party with food from books, 1920s to 1950s costumes, and many other book themed things… so yeah, it was awesome. 🙂

@mark-kamibaya I suspect you are right. Some people who are into New Age and believe in Ascended Masters and all that actually believe that dragons are real, supernatural creatures that can interact with them. Although I think they are just demons in disguise.

@sarah-h It would be indoors. Thank you SO much for all the wonderful ideas. I have decided not to run the fundraiser so a bit because I am so busy with prier commitments. But the ideas are wonderful and will be in a file for future reference.
