Oh, awesome! Thank you so much! 🙂
lol😂 I’ll try to keep from gushing around them.
My scenes in my current brain dump are all from books I haven’t even started yet.*facepalms* *tries to feel penitent, but only succeeds in feeling pleased* -

I cannot agree with you more about parent characters! And “happily-ever-after” stories sometimes frustrate me, too… They don’t reflect reality, and I’m a BIG supporter of fiction reflecting reality. 🙂
That’s so cool! Hopefully, I get to meet those characters someday. 😉

I’m with Ara on this one; Riven is HORRIBLE!!! I love the way you described him, tho, especially:
The way his tone dipped in the most subtle, cutting ways…
*grinz* Lovely, m’friend. Absolutely lovely!!!

I love the character collages!!! They’re all wonderful. I think Corvina’s might be my fav… (I love an interesting villain😉)
Ooo… Love it! (Funny, but I actually had to read Thoreau for school this year, so I get that quote.😂)
That quote… I love it!!! XD Is it original?

I agree with you! It takes a lot for a scene to impress me, and that scene did. Nicely done! 😉
Nice to meet you, Clare! Can’t wait to get to know you better. 🙂 <333

Here’s a scene I’m fairly happy with. It needs rewritten, but it’s a good start. 🙂 It’s the first scene in my fantasy WIP in which the villain makes an appearance.
The girl was riding it now. The boy had let her have a turn. Her laughter lilted down through the sky to where he crouched in the shadow of the trees. He didn’t dare move. He could not…

Another Tolkien fan, woohoo!!! Tolkien is probably the author I admire the most; I’m a big fan! (To be perfectly honest, tho, you’re not the only one who’s never read LOTR.😉My mom read it…[Read more]

OoooOoOoOoOooo… Yeah, I’ve been there… Trying to make the choice of whether or not to let a beloved character go (whether by death or by joining the “bad guys”) is SO HARD.
I guess, for me, it came down to reality, predictability, and cliche-ness (pretty sure that’s not a word, but, oh well!😂). The character I had this proble…[Read more]

Ah, well, here’s the issue: I’m a plantser. I do a bit of planning and a LOT of pantsing. All I know when I start thinking up a WIP is the beginning, ending, or a climactic scene near the end. I rarely beginning working on the project right away, so it simmers away on a back burner while I focus on other things (like, geometry… *grim…[Read more]
