I would say that there are different times when I definitely feel that way, and sometimes taking a short break to refocus is good. (with my procrastination it turns into months, but I would suggest maybe just taking a week away with no writing before…[Read more]

Yeah, that’s hard. I find when I’m in a stitch like that that going back to characters can be really helpful. For me, that’s where a lot of ideas for how to integrate subplots into the main plot comes from exploring various facets of the main and side characters.

I get the whole writing thing, I had planned on publishing my book this summer, but I have barely started the second draft (I wanted the 3rd draft done by the end of this year)

I just can’t figure out how to add them in without making it annoying to read, like its forced. I’m also trying to add more world building (because Tolkien is my favorite author and I want to slightly resemble that) so its being difficult

Ooh that’s tricky. Are you finding it hard to come up with subplots or just integrate them into the main plot?

I am trying to fill in holes and missing information and skipped scenes (my first draft is literally just the main plot and that’s it, nothing else), but I can’t seem to figure out how to do so

They are so well done. The author does so much research to make them historically and culturally accurate as well as biblically accurate.

Ooooooh, this has me intrigued. The half-elf is already my favorite character.

I highly recommend her. My favorite one (Bread of Angels) is about Lydia, the maker of purple in the book of Acts that Paul mentions. I’m currently read Daughter of Rome, which is about Aquila and Pricilla. Its really good too. Ooh, I’ve heard of Tessa Afshar but I’ve never read any of her books. What are some of her plots about?

I’ve read some really good books lately, mostly non-fiction and adult historical fiction! My writing’s been pretty good too. I finished another novel a couple of days ago which was really good and I’ve got plans to start another one very soon.
