@perfectfifths I have only attempted two stories, both of them historical fiction, and both very unfinished. Once my writing skills improve, I hope to write spiritual warfare fiction, like This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti. Other people have posted snippets of their writing in Scene Critiques, and under the SciFi topic; I just remembered I do…[Read more]

@jess It has been my experience that the bad things that happen to us are often times God setting up greater things to come, things that we couldn’t possibly imagine. We can only see the bad at the time. We can’t see the amazing good He has ready to come out of our tribulations. There have been so many times that I’ve looked back over the past few…[Read more]

I was even thinking of making a movie in Blender of it not too long ago!
@leumeister You know I’m going to hold you to that now, right? 😉 Rock Raiders is definitely one of the best lego things ever. They’ve been getting more and more lame as time goes on until…Lions vs. Alligators? Really?
Ah yes, the gadgetry. I’ve got to admit, there’s no…[Read more]

@anne-of-lothlorien I just realized that my example is a really bad one… Oh the wonders that emerge from writing late at night. XD

@perfectfifths *very late reply* Oh, I’m glad it was encouraging! That’s why I became a writer, too; there really isn’t enough good Christian fiction out there.

@kate-flournoy @daeus @warrioroftherealm
Hi everyone! I apologize for the extended silence. I’ve been thinking and praying about this conversation a lot, and I’m finally ready to present my answer. It does not honor or please God when we entertain ourselves with evil. As Christians, we are to walk in the light, and not play in the darkness. Our…[Read more] -

@i-j-anderson Mae Govannen, fellow artist! I am the Elf Intern that Anne mentioned. How long have you been doing water-color? I started taking lessons in it this year. (Which, holy smoke, is almost over!?!) It’s so different from pencil, which is what I mainly work with. Which means I freak out about it. A lot. 🙂
Oh, and I’ve just got to say it:…[Read more]

@leumeister *GEEKY SQUEAL* I can’t believe you know Rock Raiders too!!! Most people I know don’t… My brother actually has all the vintage lego sets. (I’m not sure if I should call them vintage. It came out when, 1999? You know you’re a twenty-first century kid when you call the ’90’s vintage…)
And Ironman… I have a confession to make……[Read more]

@anne-of-lothlorien I tried it once, got three sentences in, and promptly vowed I would never do it again. My brain can’t handle it. And omnipotent (Or omniscient. That’s what I always thought it was called) is basically when you don’t stick to the thoughts inside one person’s head. For instance, instead of, “Jeremy felt tense. The situation was…[Read more]

@leumeister Never fear, I am here to assure you that you are NOT the only one like that. No one in my family (least of all, me) can choose our favorite movie either. As long as it’s Pixar or Lord of the Rings or Chronicles of Narnia or some Marvel superhero that’s not Ironman, or any Christian movie that’s not cheesy, etcetery and so forth, we’re…[Read more]

Well, I just learned from a trusted source (Wikapedia, to be precise) that sluagh are not the the made up creatures I or my mother thought them to be, but are, in fact, demented spirits that suck the souls out of men.
So, yeah. I think I’ll stick with slua.

@bluejay Pride and Prejudice! Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth Bennett after she finished freezing him with her icy reply to his somewhat-lacking proposal.
Here’s mine: “Darling, haven’t you ever heard of a delightful little thing called boarding school?”

@dragon-snapper Oops, sorry. We Elves get carried away sometimes. 🙂
Another little random thought I had (well, technically my mom suggested it first, but you can ignore that fun fact) was Sluagh. (rhymes with cow) Any thoughts?
